Not improving hurt the likes of big series like Mega Man, Resident Evil, and Tomb Raider...but during the N64's era, they only got better, and WWF No Mercy was the peak before changing systems and not capturing that same magic anymore. That was also the era most wrestling fans cared about; even if their games are as good or better now, I imagine it would be hard to get people to know it anymore just because the nostalgia brought on from the roster would beat probably any other wrestling game's roster-nostalgia. Yeah,
annual wrestling titles under a common banner (SVR) is a very new
development. Ten years ago, THQ/Acclaim would basically refine the
ever-living heck out of their wrestling games. Attitude was a huge
improvement over WarZone while the evolution of WCW/NWO Revenge ->

Wrestling
as media is certainly not a sport. However, wrestling as a video game
is. There is true competition of human beings engaged in physical
activity... I think rules are defined too in the video game (or at

I'm
getting Luigi/Zero flashbacks for Majora's Mask/Pokemon. Every stat
says Pokemon should win and I'm definitely picking it, but Majora's
Mask smoking this division in the absence of Ocarina of Time (and yes,
Zelda fans are this bad about acting like drones) followed by multiple

said it during the last games contest: but Majora's Mask is a really
experimental Zelda title that I do not believe would benefit from the
absence of OoT in a contest. It's entire appeal at the time was that it
wasn't trying to surpass OoT by being bigger and better but by trying

If
you like a series so much that you are willing throw more support at a
game just because a more popular game from that series isn't in the
contest, you probably weren't voting against any of the games in that
series to begin with. Even if this factor does exist, GSC will be

Reach might give the Halo series a boost, the game actually knocked off

It's
not like similar "weird" Gamecube first-party game The Wind Waker,
where a lot of Nintendo fans see as underrated, some even say its their

I've heard some people talking about the idea of voters, to some
extent, taking the "Game of the Decade" a little more into
consideration in some matches. If that happens, Sunshine certainly ain't getting any of those votes over Halo. --- There are no foreign lands. It is the traveler only who is foreign. |

guys are basing all the 'Sunshine hate' on pretty much nothing. It's
disliked in the same way Wind Waker is, a majority like it, Nintendo
fans love it, but you're just listen to the minority who will always
bash it and never gave it a chance in the first place. |

Yeah,
Wind Waker got hate at the time but after the dust setlled many people
agreed it was good and as mentioned some will rank it as their favorite. Nobody likes Sunshine, nobody, the biggest compliment people made of Galaxy 1 was that it was the proper successor to Mario 64. Seriously, if there is a Nintendo first-party title that could get anti-votes it is SMS. Also, it's best not to look at 2002 numbers and stats for SMS because we all know the herd mentality of Nintendo fanboys when a "big title" gets released. It might have given Mario a boost in 2002 (yeah, there were a million reasons there) but it's laughable to think it has any strength after Galaxy 1 and 2. --- Don't tell me what I can't do! - John Locke |

People
who haven't played the Halo-series often hate on it. People who have
played the Halo-series often find it decent or better. People who have played SMS often hate on it. People who haven't played SMS have often been warned against it. Galaxy was very disappointing last contest; beating CoD4 would not have been guaranteed. SMS has absolutely every reason to do worse...significantly worse. Nah,
Wind Waker is something else entirely. There are many people who talk
about that game highly, especially as the years have gone by and people
have had time to let it sit. There's still a sizable group who think
the game is bad -- which is why WW isn't a top tier game -- but there
are plenty who love it, too. No one, maybe only a choice few, speak
positively of Sunshine. That is a game that most people actually do not
like. People are weird with Halo -- it burnt them when they
overestimated it, now they're going to lowball, put as one of the
weakest games in the contest, and then wonder what went wrong. --- A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step. |

It's
hard to bet for Halo considering how the games and Master Chief have
performed in the past. Then again, the Halo's shouldn't be that far
behind Galaxy, and I don't think anyone would take Sunshine to be

People who have played SMS often hate on it. ... what? No. Okay this is ridiculous, a huge majority of the SMS hate comes from those who didn't play it. The, "Dude you have to clean stuff up?! Thats like stupid and dumb" type. The people who looked past that premise liked it, the same people who looked past cel shading. |

Isn't Sunshine also one of the best-selling games on the Gamecune? Yeah, sales mean **** and all, but it shows people were still interesting enough in the game to buy it. like Bowser Jr when he's not speaking English. In fact, I like him more
than the Koopalings, but that's mostly because of how cute he is in the

Bowser Jr. has been much more successful than Bowser these days. Hell, look at New Super Mario Bros. Bowser freaking dies in the first ****ing world. No kidding. Bowser burns to death in World 1. Meanwhile, you fight Bowser Jr. like fifty ****ing times, and the guy keeps coming back for more. And then Bowser Jr. raises Bowser from the dead. Yes, Bowser Jr. knows necromancy. I thought you were having some fun with it, Leon? Honestly the FLUDD mechanics were cool. The only things I dislike in that game were the blue coins and too many red coin levels.
