Oblivion
is the top WRPG in this contest (probably stronger then Diablo 2 even).
It is the definitive early 360 game, and was very successful on the PS3
and PC as well. It's still selling really well. It has nostalgia and a
large potential fanbase to go on. Choosing a 3D action game over it is

When you have a PC franchise being ported to consoles, of course a console-only site like GameFAQs won't know what to expect. Yes,
but again that's a poll when it was PC only, on a site that's dominated
by console only players. It was brought to other consoles after, and
you can tell how much of an effect it had on this site when you look at

I'm sticking with WW atm. Rest of my brackets pretty much done. Just unsure on Uncharted 2 vs SFIV. Uncharted 2s done well on polls in the past but it's not as big a game as SFIV surely? --- Did you know that? No? Neither did i. |

haven't followed the last gen as much as previous gens, i pretty much
always do pretty decent in these things but i'm unsure of hype on more
recent games. I have RE4 beating FF12 for example. --- Did you know that? No? Neither did i. |

just realised that part of the bracket is incredibly iffy for me.
Portal can't be as strong as GoW2, Skies of Arcadias loved by everyone
whos played it, but thats not enough so will it even get past Mass
Effect? And then can either of them beat FF12? --- Did you know that? No? Neither did i. |

been tempted to take GSC > FFX for awhile. I'd probably take MGS
> FFX in that toss-up, Crystal is now being added to its title, the
HGSS-remake seems to be well-received, and people are playing
Black/White lately... ...I'd take the pick if it wasn't for FFX being the last non-Nintendo game game left in the bracket by the time FFX/GSC faced off. I still might. also, was happens to 2009's bracket if HL2 and Portal were equals?
Because Portal came away the big winner from the release of the Orange
Box despite the two HL2-episodes coming along with it; it won over
seventy GotY-awards and beat Bioshock like the Orange Box beat Bioshock
in 2007's multi-GotY...and it took until the release of the Orange Box
for Gordon to become respectable. If we could just take the people
familiar with those games after the release of the Orange Box, I'd take
Portal to win that battle... ...and Portal has reason to boost this year, too; Steam straight-up gave it away online for two weeks and apparently gave away millions of copies in just the first few days (maybe even the first day), not to mention Steam's now reaching Macs and Portal 2 releasing in early 2011 for some upcoming hype. If you assume Portal >= BioShock, then FF12 probably does win three matches. I just threw up a little in my mouth.
