This bracket is harder than I expected. Don't like all the SFF, but the later rounds are the most important so if it has to be a choice between SFF in the earlier rounds or later rounds, I'll take the SFF in the earlier rounds. That Metal Gear Solid division is brutal though.

I would say something between 120000 and 135000. Last contest only got 129018 votes for the final round and I expect vote totals to be worse for this contest than for the last Character Battle. Part of the reason is an overall weaker group of games compared to the last Best Game Ever contest, but also because vote totals on regular polls have been sucking quite a lot lately.

also, yay Melee vs. Brawl

There is no game in the bracket that could beat either, it was 300% inevitable we were getting this match, even if Goose did not stupidly put them against each other in a region final. (Unless GSC god mode that is, then we have one game that can stop it)

Also, I like the new 2nd scoring system. Board 8 will probably dominate that one.

Bracket complete...if Braid actually manages to beat Persona 4, I would mark out big-time.

Solid bracket, too. Some wasted potential, but some great matches too. I'm pretty shocked LoZ:MM's gonna be a one-seed AND will likely have the blow-out of the contest...but pretty pissed PD and Conker have to face each other in R1! At least that means one of them will advance.....

Battle Challenge

New for this contest: For each of the 127 battles, you have up until each battle begins to pick a winner. Each correct pick gets you 100 points, and each successive correct pick increases a bonus multiplier by one (1st correct: 100 points, 2nd correct: 200 points, 3rd correct: 300 points...). But. those points you earn are at risk until you skip a battle and "bank" them, which also resets the bonus multiplier. Pick incorrectly, and you lose all of the points you haven't yet banked. The longer your streak, the more points you can earn, but you could lose it all on a bad pick. For example:
Battle Pick At Risk Banked
1 Correct: 100 points 100 0
2 Correct: 200 points 300 0
3 Correct: 300 points 600 0
4 No pick: Bank 0 600
5 Correct: 100 points 100 600
6 Correct: 200 points 300 600
7 Incorrect 0 600
8 Correct: 100 points 100 600
9 Correct: 200 points 300 600
10 No pick: Bank 0 900
