SF2 essentially has SF2, SFA, and SFIII (LOL Dreamcast exclusives).

Counting all those as individual games is like counting Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow individually.

Well, it had those three at the time of the Series Contest.

It's got SFIV now, not that it's anything significant.

Fallout jumps from 24.06% to 27.13% on the last update. Fallout still has a terrible board vote like it has had in the past.

Well, hundreds of weak games aren't going to save you if you're beaten badly at the top levels, but it can help. It also helps explains why MM beat Mario Kart.

I agree that series =/= games, I was just surprised how well FF vs. Mario fits series = games, when I'd thought for years that it was THE best example of series =/= games.

Don't think you'll like this one, Wylvane.....

Legend of Zelda > Super Mario Bros.
Link >> Mario

Ergo, Link > Mario as a character. QED.

lol, looks like Epic Yarn might not even finish 2nd. Its really falling in % and Fable 3 is only like 120 or so votes behind it now. If it can't even beat Fable 3 while another major wrpg on Xbox is in the same poll... thats sad

Kirby better not lose to Fable III.

Oops.

Impressed Fable III is doing as well as it is. Despite Peter Molyneux overhyping the **** out of the franchise, it's still a decent action RPG.

Though it'll probably turn you all off to know that the game world is called Albion!

Nothing too surprising about this poll, but it does show us how much people don't care about the non-mainline Pokemon games.

Losing to Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is just pathetic especially when almost a third of the site was hyping for BW.

I think Luster's onto something about us having today's poll several days before the first of October, and now we're a few days removed from GameSpot's contest (thank goodness) and a week after nominations are closed. If it doesn't release today, I don't know when it will...but today feels good since SB didn't unveil it this past Friday.

Just let it be soon today, please...!

Today's poll being a few days before the last day of this month seemed to suggest a series of polls that are related to this contest. But I doubt they are vote-ins. Whatever series of polls we are going to be getting soon, they must last for at least 3 days because that would at least take us to September 30th or later.

Worse, since we have no pictures. The best we have is Luster running a poll script.

Well, I don't actually run a script to keep track of poll updates. I have my own way of doing it that doesn't involve manually tracking updates. What I do is run a download manager to repeatedly download the poll results page to my computer as an HTML file. By default, my download manager saves them to my computer under names like "index.html", "index(1).html", "index(2).html", and so on.

My download manager downloads the poll results page to my computer once per minute. So by the end of the poll, I'll have over 1000 HTML pages on my computer. I would then have to view those pages in my browser and manually retrieve the vote totals for each option and copy and paste them into a spreadsheet. This doesn't take long to do, because I occasionally go through my saved HTML pages several times during the poll. So I don't have to manually input all of the vote totals for all 24 hours of the poll after the poll has closed.

I would be shocked at this point if the bracket doesn't come up today. This is already possibly the longest we've ever gone since nominations closed, and the fact theres a bunch of unknown polls before October begins (due to the poll today) likely means we're getting some contest related polls till then.
