* KH1 and 2 to slip back to Near-Elites

Eh, I'm not really expecting this. Sora performed poorly last contest, sure, but Kingdom Hearts in general has been doing very well in polls this year (since people want to take this console poll to mean bad news for Brawl and all).

* Prime and Galaxy to redeem themselves as Near-Elites (provided they can avoid Smash and TP)

I've already pretty much debunked these, but this is just wishful thinking.

Super Mario Galaxy has done so much to embaress itself that I doubt it'll ever get anywhere close to the near elite level. Prime may do better, but I doubt that'll be near elite either.

Wow, the SNES nearly tripled the N64 despite the original NES in the poll. Five years later, I bet the N64 does notably better.

Good point about New Vegas. I could see that ideal timing keep FO3 around that middle of the Near-Elite range.

Still not buying the KHs as legit Contenders... sure they have a decent-sized fanbase that has helped them look respectable in multi-way polls, but in a 1v1 situation I see them being anti-voted nearly as hard as the characters were earlier this year.

BioShock got a pretty rough draw in '09; guess it could still improve on that number by a little bit.

Keep on beating that Galaxy disappointment drum, everyone! The look on your faces after its opening match will be priceless.

I wouldn't call any of those near-elites.......I'll take SMG over WoW, God of War, and ToS definitely. I'll probably take HL2 over SMG, and am not sure about FF12 and Oblivion.

I made an exception for HL2 for a reason.

But Galaxy should not lose to any of the rest of those games.

It's strange how people think Galaxy is suddenly immune to the anti-Wii influx, when there's plenty of evidence that it's been hurt worse than any of them!

I hope Galaxy isn't wasted into an elite R1, but gets something like Tales of Symphonia, then something around Fallout 3 strength. I think there'd be a big split in where it would fall then.

Was just going by the x-stats definition for "Near-Elite," gosh!

However I agree, about half that tier got overrated in the stats. So to clear it up, I'll also back Galaxy with confidence over every High Mid-Carder except POSSIBLY MGS2. (So that's any CoD, any Halo, any GTA, Portal/Prime/DII/KotoR).
