hmmm,
I still think MGS is ahead of GSC, but the gap to be closed by so much
that it'd make a fab match....which we won't get since MGS is the wrong

Looking
at those x-stats Leon posted, I think the games are too high up
relative to OOT across the board, but I suppose it's not a great
problem if they're all equally too high. Though you should take 4-way

I voted SimCity and I barely play the games. Legos build crap, and you
build crap in SimCity. That seems like the best fit! Not that it's

But regardless, the point is that there are a lot of potentially debatable matches because a lot of these games are close in strength, which is the same reason Division 128 was one of the best divisions we've ever had. know, although I ADORE Paper Mario 2, and I think SPM is pretty good(if
way too talky and doesn't successfully realize the 2d-3d gameplay),
I've never fully beat PM as a kid. I got all the way past Yoshi's
Island, and then I had to return the game to blockbuster >_> I need to correct this. That was one of the first JRPG I ever played as a kid, and I was like "Wow, JRPGs are so awesome!" Then I played several non-Mario JRPGs. I remember when this poll was run last year: http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=3688 After that poll was ran, there was a huge spike in nominations. Paper
Mario was amazing. It had a very simple battle system and very simple
story, but that didn't stop it from being an amazing RPG- atmosphere is
everything, I suppose. I never really liked TTYD though- it doesn't
have the same magical feeling for whatever reason. Final Fantasy currently has 60.57% on Pokemon, and this will probably fall below 60% after Pokemon is through with the ASV. That's kind of surprising given that FFVII looked to be worth more than 60% on RBY last contest, and beyond that Final Fantasy is much deeper than Pokemon. GSC can match FFX, but beyond that FF just has more games. Of course the "lego" in today's poll probably influences results. --- Crono > Sephiroth. 7 years of waiting, and perhaps many more to go. scratch that. I forgot that to maintain 60/40, even using series = sum

does. I really don't care about seeing Lego FF for some reason. Now, I
don't care about Lego Pokemon either, which is why I picked GOD OF WAR.
Lego Kratos with an enraged look on his face just strikes me as

That
one might be on a case-by-case basis, because there's really aren't too
many total "re-imaginings" out there. I don't want to see obviously 90s
games like SM64DS or CTDS make it in, but a game like REMake really

I think I've changed my mind to not wanting CTDS in the contest. It
won't perform as well as usual, because it's obviously not an 00s game,

Allowing
remakes like that is fine, I think. FF4DS passes, SMW Advance not so
much -- although we don't really need another Final Fantasy game in
here, so let's hoe this doesn't make the cut! I dunno how many remakes people would even nominate, though. Very few stand out compared to all the new games we got this decade. --- There are no foreign lands. It is the traveler only who is foreign. |
