Covers it up for me, though it's probably because I'm using Adblock.

Actually, it's GameFOX that's causing the Yahoo thing to cover up the poll question. I apparently confirmed it by disabling GameFOX and restarting Firefox. I went to the homepage and the Yahoo thing is no longer covering up the poll question. Then I enabled GameFOX again and the Yahoo thing went back to covering up the poll question.

The GameFOX developers haven't released an update yet that fixes this problem.

So basically what you're saying is that the Driver series would do better in North America than it would in the rest of the world.

Nope, not at all. Seeing a very high percentage of votes from North America in that driving poll got me to go through all polls with Geolocation in effect and compile the vote distribution for every poll. All the data is compiled here:

https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=ttW7Z93BhtWVJGKBuJdHf8g

I didn't do this for contest matches though. The sheets for each continent list the final worldwide vote total for each poll, along with the percentage of votes that each continent was responsible for contributing to the worldwide vote total. Like, North America was responsible for 87.21% of all the votes in Poll 3307 (Did you remember to vote today?) and the Soda polls receiving terrible support from Europe.

Oh yeah, I want to point a weird thing with Africa that I caught onto. Near the end of year, there was a huge spike in traffic coming from Africa and that is easily reflected in the Day 2 Vote-In poll for the last Character Battle. Africa was responsible for 0.50% of the votes in that poll, which easily smashes the previous record of 0.23% set back in the Cloud/Snake/Sephiroth/Kirby match from 2008. I even had to double check that one Vote-In poll to confirm that my calculations were accurate and Africa really did contribute 0.50% of the total votes to the Day 2 Vote-In.

Nope, OOT Master Quest is counted as a compilation and therefore not nommable.

I really wonder how well CTDS will do- I mean, I suppose in the actual poll it'll be listed as just "Chrono Trigger," but I figure a lot of voters will think it's definitely not the Game of the 2000-2009 Decade and not vote for it.

I really doubt CTDS is eligible.

So do I. In fact, I almost wonder if it was simply a matter of Master Quest specifically being excluded on the nomination page, since it seems a safe assumption is that this contest is a way to exclude OoT and FFVII without simply saying that. Whereas, Chrono Trigger wasn't specifically targeted.

Well, all the compilations and games with years before 2000 have that number/word italicized, and lack a radio button to select them. I'm not sure why Bacon would program the form to reject compilations and not (slightly updated?) ports, if he's going to end up tossing both.

It's probably a lot easier to create a program to recognize a compilation and organize it by year, but there's really nothing listed that designates these games as "ports."

Personally, I prefer staying away from SFF matches if possible. Melee vs. Brawl is SFF, but I hope they'll be on opposite sides of the bracket and meet in the finals- they should be the 2 strongest games in the bracket, so that'd be a great finals.

I do, too, but there are always exceptions, such as situations where the winner isn't obvious (KH1 vs. KH2) or situations where my preferred game is guaranteed to kill the other (FFVIII vs. FFIX last time).
