Should either Epona or Dark Link do well this year, yeah, I expect a bigger push for more LoZ-characters next year...but the only other characters I would care about seeing at all would be Saria, Darunia, and the Great Deku Tree if we're pushing a joke. Well
Seymour is an awful character, so I'm totally fine with Sin >
Seymour. Between Sin and FATE, 2001 was a pretty ambitious year for

...but
the only other characters I would care about seeing at all would be

I
think with some exposure in Dissidia 2 and some sort of decent role in
Kingdom Hearts 3 he could at least be as strong as Jecht is. FFX is one
of the strongest games on the site, so until he's proven as no good I
have to hope he would be. I would not want him in the contest without

Here's what I expect to see next contest: 1 Link 16 Tingle 8 Sazh 9 Barret Also, if you were to nominate another Mass Effect character besides Shepard, who would be the best choice? Garrus and Tali are probably safe bets since they're playable in both games and are both major badasses in ME2. Saren was a huge badass presence in ME1, though nonexistent in the more-popular ME2. Thane and Legion are minor fan favorites. Joker's also a strong choice, though I doubt he'd have nearly as much casual appeal as one of the alien races, meaning his support would be entirely ME (and maybe Seth Green) fans. --- Wylvane Pirateking2000 is a horrible user. |

should be the greatest blowout in contest history. I think there's a
non-negligible chance Tingle actually outperforms what Ganondorf and

take a series poll for every semi-relevant company in any medium before
I ask for the standard set of polls again. Besides, I've sent a
feedback-ticket asking for some genre-polls like we saw in 2007 while
he's already doing these...so hopefully we get a good change-up once

There was a favorite Square series poll back in 2001, and it turns out......... Chrono actually did better against Final Fantasy this year. It got 21.54% on FF back in 2001, and 22.53% a few days ago. --- Crono > Sephiroth. 7 years of waiting, and perhaps many more to go. Remain steadfast. |

don't know- what I've read on the stats topic and board 8 has indicated
that the PS2 should beat the PS1. The N64/PS1 generation is definitely
by far the strongest, games-wise, but I don't know if that translates

we ever had Rayman in a contest? If not, no reason not to. I mean,
yeah, he'd be fodder, but at least we'd give another icon his chance in
the sun before he fades away. Plus he's got a bit of extra notice
thanks to the Rabbid games, the first of which was a pretty popular
party game (at least, it was one I played often in large groups back in

As for the console poll, I feel PS2 would still win considering the fanbase here grew up mostly on it. PS1 would fare better than the NES, but I feel this would be a Games Contest 2009 final-like poll, where the PS1 and PS2 combined would easily beat NES and SNES combined due to age.
