Thinking about it though, I'm surprised Frank West isn't here, too. He's technically one of the silouttes, but so is Dante, so I don't see why they wouldn't have Frank here as well

Phoenix Wright deserves to be in a fighting game. Who cares if he doesn't have any actual fighting prowess? Neither does Captain Olimar, and he still manages to throw plants at people!

Yeah, I don't see "Not being a fighter" as a valid reason to not have him in a fan service game. He's a popular Capcom character. Thats good enough for me.

Phoenix will do this is just about any poll you put him in, doesn't really matter what it's about. Sort of like people asking for "Who would win in a fight?" polls. Doesn't really matter, people are gonna vote for who they like no matter what question is asked.

Come on Protoman...though I'm happy Phoenix is kicking ass -- I'll take solace that Dr. Wily's hurting him. Also, for shame that Bionic Commando isn't doing better. He'd be an interesting fighter.

And Leon...Leon! Whatever though, it's not like Dante actually beats him like this in a contest because Wesker's in the po--WESKER'S BEATING LEON?? This poll is weird.

Wow, even Proto Man is beating Leon now, while Wesker is just manhandling him. Phoenix is still kicking ass.

Looks like RE5 helped Wesker a hell of a lot more than it helped Chris!

Also, it's worth noting Sonic had unusual but acceptable reasons to over-perform in that poll. Then again, I don't really want to get into legitimizing anything from that poll either.

Oh ok. Still, that puts him right there with Cloud, and he completely obliterates Crono. And if you would really take Chief > Dante 1v1, I'd have to ask if you were doing a favorites/zero bracket.
