The clay model of Bowser vs Charizard is the best one so far.

Also, it's nice to finally have a decent poll for once. Thanks for saving us from further poll hell with a decent one, HaRRicH.

Oh man, I made that poll a LONG time ago...I don't even remember what game I took the freeze gun-suggestion from. I'm glad one of my many suggested polls was finally used though! Just one more new minor way I've contributed back...!

As for the results, whoa. I guess I didn't have a great idea of what to expect, but I really thought explosive weapons would be among the top options. The BFG (I think) of Doom and Duke Nukem, the rocket launcher (and rocket-jumping) of Quake, the joy of sticky-grenades in Halo...I thought fire and massive destruction was going to do a LOT better than 5%. I'd blame the mines being in another option, but their option is sub-2%. Also, people love sniping here...not too surprised, but I didn't think it would be to this extent. I think I know the answer, but I'll ask anyway: would Sniper from TF2 do any good?

Still the whole poll just feels weird to me. I guess I don't play many FPSs anymore.

Actually, I bet I meant to say the Freeze Beam like in Metroid Prime. Whatever, the point's clear with special guns.

I just have just said the Farsight.

Farsight is why I voted sniper rifles. Best weapon of any game.

Also it's a crime if that clay model doesn't win. That thing is amazing.

I voted handguns because one time I played through MGS3 with nothing but Ocelot's revolver.
...and CQC.
...and plot-demanded weapons in certain parts of the game, I think. But I don't remember any in the moment.
I know that doesn't technically count as an FPS but...Eh whatever.

Fast-shooting weapons, baby. Assault Rifle is like the only weapon I'm halfway-decent at in FPS's, though sometimes I get lucky with shotguns. It also wrecks **** in the Mass Effect games.

I'm looking through my old feedback-tickets...and no wonder why I didn't recognize the freeze-gun in my own suggested poll; I didn't put that in my poll-suggestion. In fact, quite a bit of the options were changed:

Message From HaRRicH on 10/21/2009

What is your favorite kind of weapon in a First Person Shooter?

Melee weapons (crowbar, sword)
Hand guns (pistol, revolver)
Weapons with power (shotguns)
Weapons with speed (minigun, SMG)
Weapons with range (battle rifle, sniper rifle)
Explosive (grenade, rocket launcher)
Special (gravity gun, laptop gun)

Whatever I guess, it's just weird to see!

Too bad sniper rifles didn't win in the US. Fast-shooting weapons won all of the big states except for Illinois (and sniper rifles barely won that state).

And for today's poll, lol at the region results:

http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=3878&region=US
http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=3878&region=SAM
http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=3878&region=EUR

Americans are so spoiled and too lazy to make real food. I figured something like this would happen for the US.

We seriously need a "How much do you weigh?" poll, because we've never had that one before. Can't wait to see how heavy the US is compared to other countries.

Then again, considering the site's demographics, I'm pretty sure this poll overexaggerates the consumption of fast food in the other regions. How many gamers do you know that can cook? Hell, I lived in a dorm for three years that didn't have anything but a microwave. Pretty sure in a situation like that, you're going to rely a lot on fast food and other unhealthy ****.

Surprisingly, The Phillipines actually has much more fast food consumption than the US, at least according to this poll.

The Geolocation results for the states are kind of funny to see though. Pretty big regional difference between New York, and Massachusetts, and Texas.

The Geolocation results for the states are kind of funny to see though. Pretty big regional difference between New York, and Massachusetts, and Texas.

I noticed this too. The Northeast seems like the healthiest part of the country as they prefer fast food the least.

The South has some major fast food problems. States like Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and North Carolina are fast food freaks.

I've never heard anything about this. I did hear something on the news that West Virginia is the fattest state on average. With the city of Huntington in that state being the fattest city in the US. However, the Geolocation results for West Virginia doesn't seem to suggest this at all.

I hope it's the way presigs were done. "Site gets one month to understand a new rule is in place, after that we're modding people." Or maybe it was a weak, who knows.

Point is, it's overdue. Easy fix, easily enforced, easy to see why we need it so badly.
