How many other handheld-only characters have been in the contests? the only others I could think of was Soma and Isaac --- Ours is not to reason why, ours is but to do and die. |

Yeah,
I'll make a list of characters from this bracket later who should be
locks for the mock bracket. May not do it until tomorrow though. And I think we should at least keep Link in the mock bracket. It's been argued that it's possible to make a good bracket while still keeping Link in it, and I think we can do that. --- Not Wylvane Dr Football Factor'd. |

example I wouldn't mind seeing Akuma in the bracket again, but should
M. Bison/Chun Li return or Vega/Guile appear then I feel the guy needs

Bring in Red XIII. Red XIII>=Cid. Barret and Yuffie would definitely be weaker than Red XIII. No need for Cid anymore, and really, no real need for Aeris either honestly. Cloud/Seph/Vincent/Tifa automatic - add Red XIII. No big deal here.. I suppose you could also argue for Rufus Shinra or that one Turk (I think people thought Reno would be strongest?), since they have potential. But in terms of PCs Red XIII would be the strongest we haven't seen. One of these three should get support though. I'd say Goomba/Bahamut/and either Squirtle or Blastoise should for sure get big support, and either Red XIII/Rufus/or Reno would be a good choice too (although I'm skeptical Reno's strength myself). I'd bring in Bahamut before Red XIII though. As for Leon's Mario adjustment, I'm with red sox, I totally disagree with it. But if people want to use those stats that's they're choice. --- Voluntarily devotion of sig to give props. Congrats andylt for the best contest season ever (#1 Oracle, #3 leaderboard). |

don't see how anyone can say that they are interested in seeing the
strongest character's regardless of how manycharacters there are from
the same game in the bracket because that gives the strongest field and
the most reliable stats and be against the strongest entrant. It's like being pro-abortion and anti-contraception. It just doesn't make sense. You can argue one or the other, but not both simultaneously and still attempt to maintain the appearance of a non-biased and objective commentator. --- Sorry, that's the way I see it. |

As for big board noms, I think we'll see a big push for Epona/Goomba/Chocobo and either Squirtle or Blastoise. I plan on rallying for Epona, I brought her up after nominations opened before this contest but couldn't get enough steam going to get her in. --- Try again this year" |

Samus is a complete different character than Samus so she should be
eligible. She would have a fair shot at being the strongest Western

FFXIII currently has 65.08% on HG/SS. In the 2009 Games Contest stats, FFVII is projected to get 65.58% on Gold/Silver. FFXIII 3rd strongest game on the site confirmed --- "The great GF...Dr_Football." "...GF? I...? Using my powers...It is you humans...I fear..." |

I don't want Link in here, why the **** would we want Dark Link? The biggest problem most people seemed to have with Link was he was too strong compared to the rest of the field and SFFs a lot of his nearest competition. Dark Link at best is weaker than Link. Cloud, at the very least, would have a chance to win and I'd even say Cloud would be the favorite to win. I don't think Dark Link is a real threat to win the contest or
anything. As said, I can't see him SFFing elites the way Link does
either. He'd be a fun and interesting entrant however, and I can see
him winning plenty of matches. I'm not sure why you guys want to hold a

craze started up when it beat down its opponents in the Vote-In poll. I
don't think very many people thought Missingno. would end up as fodder.

don't think Dark Link would actually win the contest, but just the
prospect of it is depressing enough. He doesn't feel much different
than a joke character because his inherent strength is just tied to the
fact that he's a dark version of Link. --- Dr_Football is the best Guru winner ever created. |

Yeah,
we need Dark Link and Dark Samus in the contest! Why not! While we're
at it, we've been long overdue for getting all the different Links in
the contest. They're all different characters, and they should be
eligible. Toon Link is even distinct in Brawl! Squeeze Kingdom Hearts
Cloud and Sephiroth into the nominations as well when you get a chance,
he's nothing like FF7 Cloud. And has anyone considered all the other
