Yeah,
with 128 games there's no need to remove FFVII and OOT. Generations
have got to go- I would love seeing say, Zelda 1 put the smackdown to

Eh, removing FF7 and OoT is akin to removing Link in next year's contest. While it's definitely plausible that neither could win the contest, the bracket overall would likely be better without them, especially with Bacon handling things. --- Not Wylvane Dr Football Factor'd. |

favor removing OoT and FFVII if RBY gets booted as well. It's obviously
the next strongest, especially when you consider momentum and rallying,
and it's chances of losing have been empirically calculated to be under

either of them ever lose, a sub-1% that FF7 can beat OoT, and many many
options for who could win the bracket if they were gone. There's at least a 5% chance neither of them wins the contest, and at least a 15-20% chance FFVII beats OOT. The match was 52.5-47.5- hardly a blowout. There is plenty of room for lots of interesting matches in a 128 game bracket with those games still in there. --- 2010 Extrapolated Standings: Crono gets 46.85% on Sephiroth. All you need now is KH3 or SSB4, Crono. Then your quest shall be fulfilled! |

I like the idea of a "newbies" contest. Every other year or so they should have a competition featuring only new characters. What about a 4-way where you vote against one character? Or a format where two matches are happening simultaneously, and you can only vote in one? Obviously, both of these ideas would throw everything we know about the contest out the window. I just think it'd be cool to have a new and different thing. --- The fact that my story isn't plausible just proves that it's true. |

Everyone just assumes RBY is third because it resisted OoT's SFF and because Pokemon characters are freaking beasts in the contests. RBY is definitely one of the strongest games on the site, but it hasn't yet proven to be the #3 game. The thing is, how would you have a match between the winner of the third contest and OoT/FF7? Threeways are out since if FFX or LttP won, there'd be major LFF. You could have FF7 and OoT rematch and then the winner faces the bracket winner, or a gauntlet match where the winner first faces FF7, and the winner of that match faces OoT. that there's no "do something about Link as he's won six times" option.
I can't vote because none of the options match my opinion. We have just
the right amount of joke entrants (a couple standards like Block and
Cube and now Missingno, with maybe one new one every year) and the

vs. LTTP could be really good. Actually, if you take out FFVII and OOT,
I'd say RBY, LTTP, SM64, CT, SSBM, and SSBB all have legitimate chances
