A = Strongest Character
B = Character Weaker than A
C = Character Weaker than B
To figure out a character's Xsts Percentage ---> [(CvB)(BvA)]/50 = CvA
To compare how C would do against B ---> [(CvA)/(BvA)]*50 = CvB
To figure out how B would do against A ---> [(CvA)/(CvB)]*50 = BvA

~*Say What? Some Common Stat Topic Lingo Defined*~

SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote, because the Zelda fanbase so clearly sided with him. However, take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make total sense. This has caused a few SFF jokes, with LordOfDabu's "Some Frivolous Factor" being the funniest of them.

X-Stats - Short form of Extrapolated Statistics, aka the mathematical "strength" of a contestant that can be determined based on their performance in any given matchup. See above for a detailed explanation of the x-stat process.

Noble Nine - Link, Cloud, Solid Snake, Sephiroth, Mario, Crono, Sonic, Samus and Mega Man.

Near-Elite - The Squall, Auron, Vincent, Kirby, Missingno, Tifa, et al group that has come at, near or even ahead of Noble Nine characters recently.

The Fodder Line - A final X-Stat value of 15% or below.

I prefer TP to WW, but I'd take MM and OoT over both of them by miles. Either way, I see that as a personal opinion thing.

Brawl/Melee despite how much people whine as the definiteion of a casualk player who just messes about with her mates, brawl has more characters, stages, music and items and I don't play enough to know or care which one is floatier/techier/allows you to infinite grab someone to death. Brawl easily.

Galaxy is miles better than Sunshine. No discussion.

The Gamecube has ... F-Zero GX, Pikmin 1&2 and the RE series over the Wii IMO and RE4 is netter on Wii and Pikmin 3 is coming.

The Gamecube version was the original and incredibly awesome.

Though I do love the PS2 port. The Cube version will always be my favorite.

The Cube version's cutscenes ran in-real time or whatever, so when you're wearing alternate outfit they actually show up. I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't rock the RPD or Gangster uniform during the cutscenes in the PS2 OR Wii versions :/

Still one of the greatest games ever made though :)

The right analog. None of that motion-sensor/auto aim assist stuff from the Wii version with the huge reticule.

Since the morning Link support has gone up in Asia and Oceania and down in North America, South America and Europe.

I would love to see the x-stats for Asia though.

Dr_Football landed the best 127-hit combo on Board 8. I don't know if my health bar will ever replenish.

Regional x-stats would be kind of hard to do anyway, seeing as the outcomes were often different than the final results.

Nintendo has changed. They're no longer showing off games that are still years away; both Mario Galaxy 2 and Other M will be released within about a year of their official unveiling. It seems almost impossible to think that Nintendo would reveal, hype, AND release Zelda Wii before the next Character Battle, but the rumors are that they're shooting for this holiday. It's gotta be very far along in development.

I sincerly believe that Nintendo will announce Wii Zelda within the next few months (E3 is the obvious prediction) in time for Christmas. If there is another contest held around the same time as this one, I imagine Link will be boosted to 2004 levels when TP was announced.
