I like how Link vs Cloud is going to become Mario vs Crono indirectly.

The only other redeeming possibility is Link proceeding to crush Cloud so hard that Charizard ends up on the Top 10! We need the big three Pokemon in the Top 10!

Omitted scores got it wrong.

Cloud wasn't quite as dominant as Link. Just under 40% had him getting to the finals. Unlike Link, there were a couple people near the top who thought someone would upset Cloud but the brackets at the very top knew Cloud would come through. Cloud's prediction percentage is erratic near the top since there are so few brackets in each tier. It starts to stabilze around 300 at a high 80 prediction percentage. From there is the usual slow decline.

Uh, of course Crono will win this match. Crono not winning this match would be a colossal failure considering he's projected to 47% on Sephiroth, Sephiroth didn't face Cloud, and Mario did face Link.

The most hilarious thing is, Missingno is probably one of the more consistent characters in this entire damn contest compared to stuff like Snake's run and Link SFFing half the bracket.

The most damaging SFF matches from a X-stat perspective are Link/Mario and Mario/Mega Man. Mega Man/Hayabusa is obviously bad but only affects four characters and you can make what you will of Mario/Charizard. The bottom half is pretty clean - there's Missingno and Vincent in Jenova and that's about it.

This is the first time ever I'm rooting for Link to finish as high as possible, so I can win the Oracle. My pick is 57.15%.

I'm not liking my chances so far. Even with Link's FF7 trends, he's actually up against FF7 this time. Don't expect Cloud to rise much - think he'll fall more before he rises too - but, he should rise at least a bit by the finish due to the overnight vote.

The stats are actually decently good this year. The main problem is day/night effects, and SFF as usual. There's little evidence that bandwagons really did a huge amount this year- certainly a lot less than with the 4-way contests.
