Didn't Leon already beat Gordon? Has Gordon boosted that much? Has Leon dropped? Freeman has gained Orange Box since their last meeting plus Leon had the sprite picture. Good job Cloud- and he just took the lead in the USA. For the Link vs. Everyone poll, the rest of the Noble Nine should be featured prominently in the Everyone picture. --- 2010 Extrapolated Standings: Crono gets 46.85% on Sephiroth. Also,
Link has to stay in the contest. If you move him to a grand final, that
grand final remains the true final, so no one else can win, still. Link
is only one character, and does not ruin the bracket by himself;
Clinkeroth of old, on the other hand, made it very hard to set up good
matches. What do you do when you meet a character like Link you can't beat? You try again, every year, until you win. You don't give up and start a "Second Best Character Contest." The
guys arguing for Link to be retired better vote for him and hope he
crushes tonight. It'll be hard to make a good "he's invincible"
argument if he only beats Cloud with like 53%. That's what Snake got on

Fiction. Cloud has a horrible board vote, and Link's so strong he dominates the time period regardless MAYBE Fact. There is the 4-6 period where Nintendo is weak and FF7 is at its best. Fact. Cloud has looked worse than ever, barring the wonkiness of 2002. Link has arguably looked his best. This is gonna get ugly. And it will be so fun to watch. |

There's
been tons of talk about Link, but how about reformatting the scoring
system? I hate how points are doubled for every subsequent round. I
don't care if that's how sports brackets do it; there should be more
emphasis on getting EVERY match right, not just every match in the

agree with that. I think the latter rounds should be weighted more
though, just not that much more. They are more important matches, and
are also a better indicator of predictive ability (since we have more

That's much better. think Cloud should win at least 1 hour overnight. Strangely enough, he
didn't win any hours in the first night vote in 2006, but he took the
last hour of the poll to blitz his way over 46% and salvage some

do think there's a small, outside shot that Cloud takes the board vote
tomorrow - he took it in this match and the last 1v1 match against
