You could actually take out the following characters Link Cloud Seph (Winner of Villain Contest) Mario (Winner of 2005) Snake (Winner of Male Bracket) Samus (Winner of Female Bracket) and put them in a gauntlet type thing at the end. Then you have a bunch of nearelites such as MM/Sonic/Tifa/Crono/Squall/Vincent/Lightning/Charizard/Random joke character all vying for the championship. At this point, nobody really wants to see Samus blowouts or Sephiroth blowouts but you shouldn't remove them all together |

Europe
is really letting Snake down, isn't Europe usually Snakes stronghold?
Snake is actually beating Cloud in North America but is losing by more

Cloud
might have slowed his gains, but he would have improved his percentage
all the way until the end of the match due to how much he was leaping
ahead of the bounty hunter. Unfortunately, there's no good analogs we
have to project how Cloud/Samus would have gone 24 hours I think.
Cloud's only had one 24 hour match this year obviously, and it's a
weekend match. Even going all the way back to Samus/Cloud 2k4 doesn't

Snake already proved his patterns had changed in 2008.
The Brawl announcement shored up his day vote somewhat, but 2k8 is when
he actually started winning or keeping even with characters for REAL. For Snake/Squall 2k6, Snake jumped out to a much bigger lead but ended up bleeding much less percentage to Squall and ended up significantly behind what he would put up this year despite a slower start. Snake lost middling percentage against Seph in the ASV, it wasn't until the SNV until he started to get challenged any. Man, what with with the Metal Gear Solid Total Stagnation Zone last night? As soon as 6am hit Cloud started rear naked choking the Old Man. I guess Snake's first night vote>FF7 first night vote. Makes some sense with Snake/Seph as I believe the FNV is correlated more with the during school vote than the SNV is, and the DSV was when Snake was really taking it to Sephiroth. It's
not so much a FF7 SNV I think, but rather an FF SNV which FF7 is by far
the best with. Squall still showed this year that the SNV was one of
his best times. I do agree that Snake's ASV has gotten a little better
though. However, also remember that Snake still has the same patterns
in the first 12 hours-a godly first 3 hours followed by bleeding
through the rest of it. His percentage on Squall 12 hours into that
match was even closer to the most recent result. It's possible Squall
would bleed but, not enough so to make a large enough difference.
Especially since we're hypothesising a match where Snake loses the
source of what ASV he does have. Moving on, I think we need to see a Samus/Mario rematch. Compare Samus in the battle royale to Link/Samus/Cloud/Sephiroth in 2007. Also compare her two matches with Zelda-yes she'ss gotten a bit stronger but 8% is ridiculous. I think Samus has become resistant to Nintendo SFF. Everyone always thought that Samus was an utter flop against Nintendo, but recently she's looked good. We don't know just how strong Mario is now but it's safe to assume that stats-wise their close. It'll be interesting to see what percentage we get this time. |

Samus would do better but she'd still get 55/45d or worse head to head. Samus vs. Snake rematch or Samus vs. Sephiroth or Mario vs. Sephiroth or Mario vs. Cloud are better matches. is a big way to drop, and that's not the only example I used either.
I'm not saying she completely resist SFF, but she didn't get killed
against Mario either. At least I say it'd be closer than Mario/Samus vs. Sephiroth. There is honestly legitimate reason to believe that Mega Man could upset Sephiroth. |

If
Solid's going to do anything, he has to do it with the ASV in a few
minutes. Two thousand votes is a mighty big gap for a night-character
though, so this is probably over unless Cloud tanks with it even worse

If
a Mario vs Cloud rematch happens, I'd be taking Cloud, actually. This
way, it's win-win, since if Cloud wins, my bracket is golden, while if
Mario wins, Mario will be 2-0 against Cloud and I'll be a very happy

Zelda did overperform. But 8%? Also like I said, she did a lot better against Link in 07 than she did in 06, even taking Mario into the equation. She did better on Link than Sephiroth did on Cloud, contrary to previous performances. |

I'll send a feedback ticket suggesting a bronze-medal match, though I've already sent SB one about another bonus match we've talked about (Link/Zelda/Ganon/Midna/Tingle/Cloud). Still, can't hurt. That's right, he usually doesn't...damn this weekend-thing keeps slipping my mind! Really, I just want a bonus poll that's relevant to our interests somehow. I didn't care much for 2007's or 2008's (though that one was funny to me), but BGE2's was cool. So somebody tweet his ass then! :) Didn't he have a twitter? Does anyone here actually use that? And in Link vs. "Everyone", "Everyone" would get doubled, maybe tripled. It's not the same without actually listing everybody with their names as an option - Link in a 128-way doesn't do very well, probably well under 30%.
