Question: how many of you were like me and voted for Cloud last round but didn't vote for him this time? *raises hand* Cloud cutting already, even if it's just one vote? I believe it took Sephiroth over four hours to cut, though that was day-time...but still, Cloud has that to look forward to. I want to see how Solid resists Cloud's comebacks before I say much about his chances, but Solid's not looking great. --- Picking Auron > Squall was dumb, but not as dumb as thinking I could beat Leonhart! Cloud's
not really a day guy or a night guy, he's a rise throughout the match
guy who happens to be really good at a couple of hours in the late
night that get very very few votes. --- 2010 Extrapolated Standings: Crono gets 46.85% on Sephiroth. All you need now is KH3 or SSB4, Crono. Then your quest shall be fulfilled! |

As creativename has said time and time again, Clouds first 12 hour percentage isn't as good as his second 12 hour percentage. Assuming Cloud gets 52% on Snake, what's the minimum Cloud needs to get on Link to get Missingno in the Top 10? A bit convoluted, so feel free to ignore this. I just want to see Pokemon dominate the Top 10 in the x-stats myself. --- Not Wylvane |

My
one and only hope relies on this match just bucking all the trends.
Snake's still winning; if the results remain unpredictable and if we
can't use past indicators to predict voting trends, maybe a miracle
will happen. Strange that I'm so miserable with Snake having a 300 vote lead over Cloud in a 1 v. 1. I know the consensus will be to knock Snake after this match, but regardless it's important to note how far he's progressed from the days where he was the "weakest NNer." |

like RPGuy was right about that one. Well I'm fine with it- Cloud is a
much better character than Sephiroth and this brings Crono >

not "strange" at all. I'd say "typical" is a good word for it, since
this is exactly what I said would happen. I've never witnessed people
hanging their heads when the character they want to win is leading by

Yeah,
I can't see how you knock Snake regardless of what happens here. The
best you could do is say after what happened to Sephiroth he dropped
the ball here, but it's so much more logical to say Sephiroth was the

Why
are you guys talking about Sephiroth dropping on Cloud? Cloud's best
case scenario here probably has him up 51-49 on Snake by the halfway
point. That's not quite as good as Sephiroth looked in 2k3 or 2k5, but
still quite a bit better than their 2k4 direct match. --- KrahenProphet and Nintendo cleaned me out in the Guru Contest. |

Cloud
will probably take the night vote thanks to Asia, but Snake, unlike
Samus, isn't a slouch in Europe. Don't expect to wake up to see
Cloud/Seph leading by thousands in formerly close matches, ala

The
funny thing is that if Missingno had beaten Sephiroth, I highly doubt
we would have gotten the clarity we have now. Let me elaborate: Current run: Seph beats Missingno. Seph does poorly against Tifa. Snake beats Seph easily. Snake wins/loses in a close match against Cloud. End line: Bandwagons don't matter much in 1 v 1. Missingno was mostly legit. FF7 - especially Sephiroth - has lost a step. But on the flip side: Missingno beats Seph. Missingno does poorly against Tifa. Snake beats Missingno. Snake wins/loses in a close match against Cloud. What we would have thought: Missingno isn't transtitive whatsoever. He goes from beating Seph to not even breaking 56% on Tifa. I see earlier in the topic people talking about how Cloud won the board vote. What's that about? The obvious explanation to me is that Snake ralliers etc. saw that Snake was in trouble and became more active.
