I think Snake might win the ASV because of Brawl. Albeit not by much if he does. Seph will probably finish higher than he is now due recovering with the SNV, but I don't think he breaks 46%. If
Snake does win this contest (unlikely, but we've seen lots of unlikely
results so far!), we really need an eight-person Tournament of
Champions next year. Link, Cloud, Seph, Mario, Samus, L-Block, Snake,
and 2011 winner. Plus imagine who'd win the 2011 contest. Mega Man, Vincent, Squall, Tifa, and Missingno would all be good contenders to win, plus the possibility of wild cards in Charizard, Sonic, Pikachu, Luigi, and so on. We really need a ToC next year, even if Snake has to be in it as the 2006 Male Bracket winner rather than the 2010 Contest Winner. --- Not Wylvane |

What's Gran Turismo have to do with anything? Considering the state of JRPGs today, this could be an example of FF7's negative influence. FFVII is 13 years old though. There's an entire generation between its release and the current generation. And on one's forcing you to buy any JRPGs. Anyway, FFVII's impact on gaming is not an opinion or debatable, it's fact. Cloud definitely goes in as the underdog now. Snake will
be stronger than this in two days; we've already seen it happen in both
4way years with two completely different characters. Heck, Sephiroth
didn't even have to deal with a Power Hour. His percentage at 60
minutes was about the same as what he has now. Cloud has to deal with a

Yeah,
Samus had 53.60% against Cloud at the freeze. Snake had 58.21% against
Sephiroth at the freeze here. I could easily see Snake with 60% at the
freeze in two days. --- Squall Leonhart is the worst Final Fantasy character ever created. |

Well
using Pikachu as evidence for him doing bad against Nintendo would be
absurdly stupid. Doubly so since Pokemon have never really acted like

It's kind of hysterical how every year recently, there's always a Solid ****
match that leads everyone to think Snake's declined and he's no longer
a top-tier character, and then there's always a match like this where
he shocks everyone. It's been like this since Snake was the Male Winner in '06 and shocked everyone by outlasting much the competition in the subsequent Battle Royale. |

was right about Yoshi giving Mizno a scare. I really think he's right
about Snake and Nintendo, too. He just tends to be correct about these
sorts of things. Snake's boosted due to MGS4, but Brawl has exposed him to a whole new audience (Twin Snakes notwithstanding). A lot of those Brawl fans might desert Snake when Samus, Mario, and Link come calling. --- And then the car wash cost five dollars. Pokemon Platinum: 1719 9497 5082 |

Snake when Samus, Mario, and Link come calling. Right, but we've seen exactly how much Samus scored on him when he just had Brawl HYPE - 53%. Nothing crazier than that.
