Right...the guy who loses his strength any time he's in a match against a Nintendo character. Yeah, not like he led Link for 6 hours last year. Gimme a break. Snake has a better chance because he can get a bandwagon against Link. There's no chance Cloud or Sephiroth do, and they can't beat him with their natural strength. --- Squall Leonhart is the worst Final Fantasy character ever created. |

see this is why we can't have nice things. We rally and bandwagon joke
characters who have no chance of defeating Link. Well, Snake > Cloud
is all but confirmed and Snake will go on to get hopefully doubled by
the master. Talk about unpredictability! |

FFVII
is a fantastic game. I might actually like it more than any of Solid
Snake's MGS titles, but I prefer Snake himself over any of that game's

If Snake beats Cloud or Sephiroth he has shown he has more chance to beat Link. And FFVII is a piece of crap that I love to see fail. Frankly,
none of the remaining guys have much of a chance at Link, so it
honestly doesn't matter which of the three remaining battlers gets
there. We're supporting Snake because Cloud and Sephy have had numerous
matches with Link and they just can't beat him. Cloud did it - seven
frigging years ago - and since then every time he's been unable to
muster a win. Snake versus Link 1v1 has at least never happened before,

FF7
is a great game, but it is vastly overrated. For many people, it was
their first RPG, which accounts for a lot of the love it receives. Then
again, the first FF I played was 6, which is my favorite, so perhaps

seems funny, now, that in 05 - the first summer contest I participated
in - Snake vs. Link would have been nothing but an exercise in how

What's
weird about Snake's recent runs is he always gets to do it at FF7's
expense. I'd like to see Snake have to go through Mario and Samus

Zero – 34.08% Vincent Valentine – 33.75% I'm going to allow this And damn, these bottom 2 divisions are going to be so completely messed up in the stats, and there's so many near-elites that will have horribly unreliable numbers for next year. Auron, Squall, Vincent, Tifa, Yoshi, Crono, Zero, Pikachu, and even Missingno. These 2 divisions were bloody stacked. feels weird that we now have Snake > Sephiroth, but considering
Snake would likely do this in 24 hours anyway, it's pretty much the

It might be a very long time before Link is ever defeated again. He's lost only three times. Loss 1, Cloud. Kingdom Hearts made Cloud go up, Toon Link made Link go down. Link has since proven this match was a one-time deal by repeatedly defeating Cloud. Loss 2, Jay Solano. A Board-8 exclusive match with a couple hundred votes cast. Obviously irrelevant. Loss 3, L-Block. The Tetris piece had a perfect storm to gather power that year, and it was a lawl fourway to boot. So all three matches have this sort of stench of suspicion about them, although the first one is legitimate enough for the time. --- And then the car wash cost five dollars. FF7 has some great elements; the music is great, a lot of the pre-rendered backgrounds are pretty nice, the plot is the good kind of convoluted mess, etc. Also, my second favorite Final Fantasy is the much-hated FFXII. It means nothing in the context of these contests. A lot of people seem to be trying to belittle FF7 and it's impact, which I don't really understand - I dislike SMB3 but don't try to belittle it being the biggest thing ever.
