Missingno is gone. Pikachu is gone. Charizard is gone. Samus is leaving and Cloud is once again safely in the semis. Mario is bbq against Link. Solid Snake is now the only shot for some truly last-day craziness. I hope voters know this, and that it's time to go for broke.

So basically the relationship between Cloud and Seph has to be very far apart, based on stats. Most people agree the 56-44 match had some SFF in it, and we've already seen what happens with those two in fourways.

Personally I'm not buying it. I think it's still a 53-47 relationship. On pure math, Seph probably easily wins.

I agree. Sephiroth being worth only 45% on Cloud would be a significant drop. It's possible but that's as low as I'd put him.

And it's going to be a lot harder to bandwagon for Snake in a day match. Even FF7 stabilizes fairly early in day matches. By 20 minutes in Cloud was already at 64.85% against Ryu and only rose barely a point from there. As compared to Falcon who held him under 65% for over an hour.

So "hope" will be tougher for Snake fans to come by, thus impeding any potential rallies.

Yes, the voters are tired of all the jokes and bandwagons, and they just want their favorite characters to win. It is time for them to vote for Clinkeroth en masse.

"For so long?" The last time we could accurately measure Cloud/Sephiroth is 2005.

I would not be surprised in the slightest if Cloud could 57-43 Sephiroth indirectly. Sephiroth has looked much worse this contest.

Hopefully Samus doesn't fall as much as Missingno because without a big bandwagon, she wouldn't be quite as frontloaded. That way my Oracle of 53.88% can look respectable!

I doubt it though, Cloud looks good for 55% year. Missingno dropped 5 points from here. Samus should drop 4-6.5 points.

He's looked fine in everything but the Pikachu match. I think putting up a couple more percentage points on Squall and getting 67% on Fox was pretty damn good.

And in 2002 Cloud/Sephiroth is at best a wash for Cloud and quite possibly a Sephiroth win, in 2003 it was pretty darn even, then 2004 was 44% and 2005 back up to 47%. Since then we've only seen Sephiroth get demolished in fourways. I don't know why there would be any confidence in Sephiroth maintaining the percentage we saw five years ago. I mean, he could, but I certainly wouldn't be confident about it.

Also, man, there are people that still pay attention to MWC? It's funny how quickly he's gone from literally professing himself to being a 'Snake fanboy' to showing his true colors in an ungodly short span of time. But it's hard to blame him - last CB's semifinals were pretty humiliating for him.

I get 2005 vibes about Snake/Sephiroth. I had SC2K5 champ over Sephiroth, he looked horrible in the Villains Contest, and I thought he'd taken a big drop. He didn't.
