LITTLE MAC I plan to rally for Epona soon after the contest ends, and I hope somebody else rallies for Goomba. I really don't see the need for a FF8 character. Let's put Seifer in a vote-in and see how he does is my take. I'm curious about Seifer, but really, he's probably quite weak by now. Dark Link is probably the strongest possible character remaining. But as said before, I'd really rather not see him. What I really want to see is Darth Vader, Batman, Han Solo, Captain Jack Sparrow. "Starred in a video game" contest. And definitely *without* separated brackets, like the male/female contest - separated brackets would suck horribly, mixing the characters is the whole fun of it. I wish we could nominate Chuck Norris. He could beat Link...if anyone could do it he could. Also, why wouldn't you guys want to nominate Snow from FFXIII? Also I think Reno from FFVII is the strongest character left from that game that hasn't gotten in before. Seifer deserves a shot. I really think that Snow/Lightning/etc. will end up doing really well because commercially it looks like this FF is on pace to, possibly, outsell FFX. --- The ultimate Snow fanboy - Curt Yeah...it probably is. Of course, not all of them will nominate for one reason or another, but you should be able to get enough Guru noms to make a vote-in poll, regardless of who you pick. Wolverine
would do well, but would likely end up behind characters like Superman,
Batman and Spiderman. Likely because they're just too far up there in
terms of recognizability and popularity. Captain Jack Sparrow, though

My ideal contest would be: -32-40 video game original characters -24-32 "starred in a video game" non-original characters -64 video game characters spread out across 8 vote-in polls that take place across 8 days. Or perhaps even 96 characters spread out across 12 days. you're going to win Guru because you put your faith in a dragon, so
wouldn't it make sense for your Guru nom to be another dragon? Bahamut's the obvious choice! Badass design, in most of the FF games, incredibly well-known, how could he not do well? Plus imagine if we got Charizard vs Bahamut. Think of how ****ing badass the pics would be for that match. Definitely not a Mario/Snake threatener IMO. But just imagine the topics and posts we'd have during a Jack Sparrow match! how is Wolverine any less recognizable than Superman? These four are all universally known. Really? Of all the comic book characters I would expect superman to do the best. I am almost 100% certain that Superman would beat Batman, and any other comic book character if they got into the contest. You have to understand that Superman is the most recognizable comic character in the world and is 10x more recognizable, and well known, than Wolverine. It's not even close. Out of everybody mentioned so far I think Goomba and Bahamut are the best choices for newcomers. Squirtle/Blastoise deserves a spot. And that should be quite enough Pokemon for everybody - MN, Zard, the rat, Mewtwo. Not much movement with the ASV here, kind of what I expected.
