To figure out a character's Xsts Percentage ---> [(CvB)(BvA)]/50 = CvA
To compare how C would do against B ---> [(CvA)/(BvA)]*50 = CvB
To figure out how B would do against A ---> [(CvA)/(CvB)]*50 = BvA

~*Say What? Some Common Stat Topic Lingo Defined*~

SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote, because the Zelda fanbase so clearly sided with him. However, take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make total sense. This has caused a few SFF jokes, with LordOfDabu's "Some Frivolous Factor" being the funniest of them.

X-Stats - Short form of Extrapolated Statistics, aka the mathematical "strength" of a contestant that can be determined based on their performance in any given matchup. See above for a detailed explanation of the x-stat process.

Noble Nine - Link, Cloud, Sephiroth, Mario, Crono, Solid Snake, Sonic, Samus and Mega Man.

Near-Elite - The Squall, Auron, Vincent, Kirby, Missingno, et al group that has come at, near or even ahead of Noble Nine characters recently.

The Fodder Line - A final X-Stat value of 15% or below.

Cloud and Sephiroth sat in the stadium, waiting for the battle between Link and Sonic to start. Most people in the crowd appeared to be wearing green shirts, and some were waving banners and even effigies depicting Link inflicting unspeakable horrors on his hapless foe. A small group of people clustered in a corner of the stadium appeared to have other ideas, and were waving Sonic banners around.

Sephiroth: What fools they are.

Cloud: Well, Link hasn't been up to par this season. He let all of his opponents go so far with a lecture and a slap in the face!

Sephiroth: So? I let Tifa go with only the emotional torture of knowing forever that she was only second in your heart, that you will never ever love her. I did not even kill her.

Cloud: ........You........I hate you.

Sephiroth: You're pathetic. You sound like Tidus. I also let Missingno off with only a sword through its.......whatever body part I stabbed through. I didn't vaporize it like I could have.

Cloud: You lie! You nearly died fighting Missingno, in fact you were so badly injured after the battle that I had to heal you to save your life!

Sephiroth: I wouldn't let myself become wounded if I didn't know there was someone I had manipulated into healing me after the battle.

Cloud: You didn't manipulate me!

Sephiroth: But you healed me. Though I am your mortal enemy, and though you hate me, yet you healed me anyway. Why on earth would you do that if not for my subtle manipulations on your delicate psyche? See? There is no other explanation.

Cloud: ......I......You wouldn't have lasted 30 seconds against Missingno without the pre-match precautions I warned you to take.

Sephiroth: True, I would not have. But there was never any chance of that happening Cloud, not when I have planned everything out perfectly. That's your role in my kingdom- to talk with Link and return to me with important information. Why do you think I keep you alive? As the commander of the Square Army, you are completely incompetent.

Cloud: No, I......

Sephiroth: You must have seen Link's hierarchy- it is a beautiful monument to good government. Mario spends 3 hours every day kneeling before Link, did you know that? He is never allowed to so much as stand up in Link's presence. In your kingdom on the other hand, Cloud, you allow your second in command to continually insult you, to ignore your orders repeatedly and uniformly, and to actively work to bring you personal pain.

Cloud: That's your fault! Well, let's stop it now, then, Sephiroth. I order you to kneel before me!

Sephiroth: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Not a chance, failure.

Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, now entering the stadium from the east, the 2nd fastest thing alive.......Sonic the Hedgehog!

Outraged Sonic fans: 2nd fastest thing? He's number 1!
Link fans: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Announcer: And now, entering the stadium from above, your king and emperor, the Hero of Time, the King of SFF, THE fastest thing alive, LINK!

Hurriedly the crowd rushed to prostrate themselves before Link, but Link raised his hand, signalling it was not necessary, and the crowd stood up instead, and erupted in a euphoric wave of cheers of sheer joy. But even as they did so, both characters vanished from the stadium, and the cheers turned to confusion.

Cloud: That was aimed at us. The masses had no hope of seeing something that fast.

What looked like a meteor appeared in the sky, falling straight towards the planet, straight towards the stadium, and gradually the crowd became aware of it. Excitement, then fear grew on their faces as it plummeted, but then it slowed, held by some force, until it landed gently on the ground of the stadium. It was Sonic the Hedgehog, with a single slice through him where the Master Sword had cut.

The crowd went silent, and sat in awe and wonder.

We all know Link will reign, once again... meh...

Cloud? Who is that guy again?

It's good Red Sox, but nowhere near the level of your previous one.

Damn. I was a big proponent of Clinkeroth getting anti-voted and this just throws me. The best guess I have is that Link is getting anti-voted, but SFF cancels it out, and we get a pretty accurate result, and one that actually decently lines up with 2007/2008.
