If we really want to know how strong Tifa is, give her a non-sprite round match against one of Mario/Megaman/Sonic. (Snake would have some PS1 fanbase overlap issues. A rematch with Samus could work as well with a different pic.)

I wouldn't be shocked if Tifa was 10th. I'm just not sure this match proves it.

And to conveniently forget that Snake has been the cause of humiliating Sephiroth in both the years that they faced off. <_<


Snake could crush Sephiroth this year and he'd still be bandwagoned against him in the future. It's just Cloud/Seph hatred, nothing more. Cloud and Seph could be humiliated in these contest time and again and they'd still be anti-voted.

Perhaps Missingno was totally legit, Sephiroth only gets 53% on Crono, and Snake will absolutely breeze through Sephiroth :)

Link would seriously win every kind of contest we could possibly have. Best Character, Worst Character, Most Developed Character, Best Non-Zelda Character (Soul Calibur II only). Doesn't matter, Zelda fans have self-conditioned themselves.

For Square/Nintendo matches, we've had 12 this contest so far and Nintendo leads Square 7-5. That actually isn't so bad compared to previous years. Had Crono beat Missingno and Yoshi like he was supposed to, it would have been tied at 6-6

Cloud > Samus and Cloud > Link will make it a 7-7 tie for this contest. 4 of those wins will be from Cloud, another two from Sephiroth. The last one was from Vivi over DK

The same as we'd get normally. There's pretty much no change in that regard no matter what happens before the finals.

Every single match in the contest could be an upset of increasing magnitude, but if Link won in the end, the contest would still be slammed for being predictable and boring.

(Yes, I know getting Link to the finals would mean not every single match would be an upset. 120/127 matches then, I think.)

If only Cloud could get a bandwagon going. Cloud-Block is the only thing that can stop Link at this point, so if we're all starved for upsets why not go for the biggest of them all? It's been 7 years since his last contest win and Cloud kinda deserves another shot after being beaten up so many times.

Obviously, Square decides they desperately want to have a Disney Sports Soccer level, and Konami requires a Snake cameo as part of the licensing arrangement.

(I had a similar idea for my ridiculous Mega Man cameo in KH3 scenario.)

Sonic got 56-57% on Tifa back in 2005. I was saying Tifa always overperforms on Noble Niners jokingly, and the fact that she didn't do it against Sonic means he's not Noble Nine, I guess!

The Sonic match was pre-Advent Children. The movie where she kicks ass and has probably the second best fight. Vincent's match against Crono the next round happened after it, where he ended up with a 2% lead on her in the X-Stats.

I've been saying Tifa > Vincent forever now, so I'm glad it's finally getting some respect. Just wish it had come up in a winnable match for her. :/

Tifa could be the new Ryu, folks. Breaking 40% on a Noble niner each time could happen. She's done it against Sonic, Samus, and now Sephiroth. So we could end up with something like this;

2011: 40% on Link
2012: 54% on Crono followed by 43% on Mario
2013: 48% on Sonic
2014: 41% on Cloud
2015: 45% on Mega Man

So this sorry ass performance by Sephiroth can be taken as either the first real case of rSFF we've ever seen, and thus an anomaly; or, an indication that Snake is about to open a can of whoopass on Sephiroth and win by 51.50%+.

Very nice to see Tifa doing well though, people with poor taste aside it's hard not to like her :)
