Cloud
looks pretty good, but he's still no Link killer. I've a bit more faith
than I did that he can not suffer his worst defeat to him though,

I
expect Cloud to win some hours. He's never been completely shut out by
Link in a 1v1, I believe. Interestingly enough, Cloud didn't manage to
win any of the overnight hours in 2006, but did win the final hour of

There's
an early vote and an ultra early vote, composed of people who are
REALLY into the contests, namely, us. This topic was like FFVII fanboy

It
should outdraw Bowser/Charizard. That was 2 Nintendo characters, and
Cloud was always the best at drawing votes until very recently (when

Ryu
is currently worth about 56% on Captain Falcon. I'm a big believer in
Falcon's strength but I'm sorry, that just isn't worth being equal to

Nice
showing from Cloud, still nowhere as dominance as in the past but it is
not like he needs to be impressive in order to stand a chance against
Samus. Samus should be able to close the gap considerably since their

Ryu
got 42% on Crono last year in a match last year. Alucard got 36% on
Crono in a match where he may have suffered some Last Place Factor (he
certainly looked like it at the beginning of the match). Falcon looked
about as strong as Alucard last year after you account for LFF, and he
confirmed it with his performance on Cloud this year. What's so strange

This
is a match tailor-made for Ryu to do well in. His fanbase has no
overlap with Cloud, it's a day match where he's getting killed in
Europe and Asia, FF7 is building more and more of a stigma as time goes

Sonic
only got 36% on Sephiroth last year. Dante got crushed really badly by

the problem is other than the fact that it puts Ryu too close to
Captain Falcon, in which case I'm just going to have to LOL the stats.

I thought Ryu had every reason to perform well here. If he's failing to

It
just means Falcon is legit, that's all. I don't know what happened to
him between 2006 and 2008 or in his 2006 match, but the 2006 match with
Crono is the anomaly and he looks to be around his current strength

easily discover that Ryu should be doing better if he was truly equal
