I think that the X-stats should remain Raw except for Yoshi, MissingNo and Crono should be taken out of the X-Stats completely for this year.

You can't remove characters like they were never there. We're all intelligent people, we will likely still remember Missingno's run next year.

There's no reason not to include them since we all know that they are inflated. It's like we DQ all four characters and pretended that they never existed.

And where exactly is your proof Sonic > Pikachu? Coming within 5% of the Noble Nine is pretty decent. I'm not sure if Kirby can be considered near elite or not, but he's at least decently close to the boundary line of it. Most people here seemed to be in agreement Kirby was not even really near the top in strength outside the Noble Nine, so what does that tell you about what some other characters could do to Sonic?

You can't just dismiss Pikachu because it's Pikachu.

You can dismiss pikachu based on the fact that he has never been very good in these contests, and he gets anti-voted. In a 12 hour match anti-votes matter more.

Removing characters completely from the final x-stats? ...I don't get it.

I'm with red that there should be no adjusted stats deemed official this year if we're talking about covering for SFF and all that, but I'm with charmander that I'd love to see some stats adjusted based on geolocation too. I accept there are actual trends on top of the differences by region, but this would be a fun experiment to try testing next year to see how accurate/terrible they are and I don't think they'd be worse than our unadjusted stats in most circumstances.

I don't know how you'd even adjust for 24 hours based on Geolocation and stuff. It'd be total guesswork, but you can give it a shot, I guess.

Check out the average percentage of votes each region gives in each match (preferably getting the averages from BGE2 or the last CB), then weight each region accordingly in this contest's matches to even out the nights and days. It fails to capture true trends, but it's worth a shot.
