yeah, there's nothing wrong with being happy about getting a match
right. There's no reason to gloat that you picked the overwhelming

Uh,
Sonic looks better than 2008, but he still looks like the weakest of
the Nine. He's made a match with Crono/Vincent/Squall/Tifa/Auron
interesting, but he's still the underdog against them. People were

Sonic's
doing fine, but yeah, nobody should've really expected Kirby to be a

I'm
just glad Sonic is winning. Ever since Auron > Sonic and Kirby >
Sonic, Board 8 has been calling for Sonic's head and that he sucks ass.
They even made excuses for last round because Bacondorf/night match.
Well now its a day match, with equal pictures, so no BS excuses when
Sonic beats up on Kirby today for an Ulti-style blowout. --- OH YEAH! |

is probably a stats fluke sure, but WCC looked abysmal against Luigi
and was almost embarrassed by a character who has appeared in one MGS

A character who once got 35% on Link is now weaker than a character who once lost to Pac-Man. What a tragic fall from grace. And apparently Mr. Drake is the 2nd weakest character in a division that he was the so-called 2 seed in. At least he still ends up as a super-low midcarder (because apparently the fodder line is now 15% on Link instead of 20%), and would likely defeat Cats now, which is quite a high increase. Then again when you're so weak to begin with such can happen (see also: Gordon Freeman). Maybe Nathan or Soap can become our replacement for GFNW. Just a thought. Nah,
Magus isn't the stats fluke. His number's fine. The lower half of the
division is going to be underrated compared to the upper half though

Man, Link this year is going to be our most underwhelming, unimpressive champion ever. He'll cruise through Cloud with 54-55%, but overall, I don't see him as having an impressive run. Even
horrible 2008 Sonic, the Sonic who got 46% on Auron and 35.5% on
Sephiroth, should still beat Kirby. Kirby being projected to 47% on

don't think these second tier Nintendo characters were the ones that
Sonic should have been matched up with. Let's be serious, some overlap
has to happen with Sonic and Nintendo. Sonic is starting to appear in a
lot of Nintendo games... I'm not saying he's becoming a Nintendo
character, but he's a lot closer to that than he used to be. We should have seen one of the Final Fantasy near elites against him to see whether or not he could fall. --- :> |

He'll cruise through Cloud with 54-55%, but overall, I don't see him as having an impressive run. I doubt it. Cloud might be getting weaker as well, but Link seems to be weaker this year as well. So it counters each other. Link was clearly riding TP hype in the year he gave Cloud his worst beating in the last 1v1 match. I doubt Link approaches 54% this time. We
could've possibly cited the Sonic 4 announcement, but a major Mario
release did nothing for Mario before or after its release. What's funny is that Galaxy's anticipation level here was very low compared to what it was at other sites while Brawl's anticipation level was very high (for some reference I remember on Gametrailers Top 10 Most Anticipated Games of 2007 Galaxy was 4th and Brawl was 9th. Then on the Top 10 Most Anticipated Games of 2008 Brawl was 10th, when it would've easily been 1st or at least 2nd on our site. We are such a Smash frenzy...). Bowser/Charizard. Only 25% of brackets have Bowser even getting there,
