Sephiroth may be as little as half an hour away from beating Missingno.'s highest lead. Missingno. may be down by as much as 2000 votes before things even start turning around. Maybe with the ASV, Missingno. could pull something off but he's not going to have enough time for a comeback if he doesn't stall Sephiroth overnight.

Sephiroth struggled with a Pokémon more than Solid ****.

Snake wins handily.

So wonder when SB is going to fix Seph's obvious votestuffing?
Denzokuken | Posted 3/12/2010 1:43:29 AM | message detail
After Pika/Snake... well Seph is surely the favourite. Missingno is far stronger than Pikachu (see their performances Crono). Yes, Snake had a bad pic, but it was a night match too. So it balances out. Seph should take him quite easily.
Hochimihnister | Posted 3/12/2010 1:43:42 AM | message detail
Yes, but that Pokemon beat Crono while the one Snake fought couldn't even break 61% against Commander Fodder

The match is a toss-up, I still predict Snake wins with 50.02%

Hard to say for sure. There is a lot of rallying in this match, which makes Sephiroth look worse than usual. I think Solid **** hurts Snake worse than the rallying in this match hurts Sephiroth.

What? Sephiroth only gained 0.03% over the past 2 updates and only increased its lead by 30. Missingno needs more stalling like that. The next hour is going to be even worse for Missingno based on the vote-in poll. Sephiroth might even be stronger next hour than in this hour.

Also, I know that this is potentially dubious logic, but the fact that Missingno struggled almost as much with Yoshi as he did with much stronger cats like Crono and Seph make me feel better about Bowser's chances. Like Yoshi, he's pretty damn hard to hate, and it'll be tough to get people riled up to vote against him.

Not likely, but I've been here since at least a year before I made that account. I came on Gamefaqs sometime around 99.

And Joyrock was made in Jan 01 FYI

Why am I arguing this is the better question. I think that is a sign that I need to go to bed because I don't care and you don't XD

If Seph carries on like that for the rest of this hour, this should be over.
creativename | Posted 3/12/2010 2:14:20 AM | message detail
So looks like this has gone fairly as expected so far.

From: PartOfYourWorld | #455
Seph still has a good three hours here, and it's not like he's especially bad or Pokemon is especially good with the morning vote. Remember that Cloud won it against Captain Falcon. Missingno can't just rely on the intrinsic strength of his morning vote; he'll need some of his supporters to wake up, look at his deficit, and decide that it's still a worthy cause for a late-game rally.

Sephiroth is much, much better at any other time of the day than he is in the Power Hour.

Yes, I expect the morning to be like a lesser deluge of Sephiroth gains. FF7 anti-votes are what propel the Power Hours for FF7 opponents, and those are not present for the rest of the match. Sephiroth should win the morning quite handily I think. And the DSV even moreso. Sephiroth should roll along in the morning IMO and put this out of reach fairly quickly once the morning rush hits.

But, you never know. Missingo could stall with stuffing/rallying, and then pull off the win at the end like jokes do. It'd suprise me however.

That US number is still cause for concern. What is wrong with that country?

The US number is the same thing as the early vote right now. Seph's US % will skyrocket once the daylight hits.

So despite having the board vote give it a quick 200 vote cushion, it looks like Missingno's biggest lead is going to be eclipsed in almost an hour less time than it took to build.

all hail Sephy-chan

And now Sephiroth at 51%.

Too bad I don't think there's a lead I'd call safe, and certainly not one realistically attainable in the hour I have left to watch the match, but I'm definitely impressed with how Sephiroth's done with the night vote. Not that I ever doubted Seph's night vote, but 57+% hours is awesome.

The board must have gotten crazy with the posts.Too bad I wasn't here. But I am disappointed.Only 700 lead for Sephiroth?Thought he would at still break 55%.Where Missingno draws all these votes from? Also if Sephiroth really manages to win then it will trully be the first match that the winner of USA loses. My country also supports Sephiroth.Nice.
