Squall Leonhart is the worst Final Fantasy character ever created.

Well it's the argument that has been had forever. Fox might be able to SFF the **** out of Falcon, while Falcon can still be indirectly stronger. iirc taking the last lol4ways contest into account Riku and Fox were projected to be relatively close in strength. Taking that into account Falcon finshes with about what Fox would be projected to get. So they are probably closer to around the same strength if you believe in 4ways. If you don't it makes Falcon look better because Riku has always done reasonably well in 1v1s. Either way aside from the SFF poll there's no real argument for Fox being much stronger than Falcon aside from a fair KH drop.

Terrible ending? I thought it was a beautiful way to end both the game and Midna's character development. There was complete closure with her, at least IIRC.

Video games are allergic to characters saying "I love you", plus there was no reason to seal herself off forever. Link saved both worlds. If the twilight people aren't meant to mingle, fine. If she rules the place, she can just have the privilege to herself.

Instead, she pulls the standard meek girl crap and just leaves. No I Love Yous, not even a hug, nothing. You say that's good character development, I say it's proof Nintendo is allergic to character development and new ideas. You can be traditional while still being new; just look at Metroid Prime. Also, Nintendo is allergic to designing women with strong character (Samus doesn't count, anyone can design a hard badass that never speaks).

I'm glad the west is thoroughly destroying Japan's archaic gaming ideas. It's a shame the Wii caught on as the latest fad among midlife crisis people, or Japan would have much tougher competition and be forced to think of something new.
