Oh,
what the hell? The Academy Awards are today? Bowser's going to have an
even better Power Hour because the movie buff voters will obviously
favor the guy from the story-driven game. I'm so sick of these

SMRPG is a strong game, and isn't a handheld game. But I think the Oscar Factor would only affect the West Coast. stable match so far, hasn't varied much more than 1% since 1pm. Perhaps

You
realize that it really won't come out this way, right? Do you really
think MissingNo. won't outdo Vincent's percentage on Sephiroth? And
Sonic may come close enough to Link because of a lack of SFF that he
ends up higher than Mega Man or maybe even Mario. That might be what the think the strengths will be, but you won't be able to prove that from this contest. |

vs. Master Chief in a 24 hour match would be such a scary and crazy

connection to Squall as they haven't faced each other in a long time.
We presume them to be equal, but if Vincent were worth 40% on Seph I

Well
my opinions on that group are well known by now, so I don't really want
to start another Mario/Samus debate. The 4% is with 2008 Snake though,
if Snake has fallen off of his MGS4/Brawl year, then it wouldn't be so

Just got caught up on reading the last topic and this one. Can someone request for Bacon to actually show us vote totals by region? I don't understand why they're not already shown. Obviously shouldn't be too much work - especially for the guy who's giving us electoral-type maps for friggin' Australia and England! :) Very strange that they're not shown, I wonder if it was just an oversight that no one has mentioned to him yet? I think someone mentioned it to him, and he said he didn't plan to include them, for whatever the reason. I requested to have the vote totals shown for the US states. While a poll is currently running, you can't see the vote totals for the regions, but they are then shown after the poll is over with. Even after the poll is over with, the vote totals still aren't shown for the US states, but they are shown for the other regions (continents and countries, but not provinces or anything of that sort). Possible
match extensions could really screw us up trying to predict matches,
especially when we're never positive if it would be night or day. |

Night/Day
shouldn't matter with match extensions. Anything that could be changed
by it being a night or day match would be extended to a full 24 hour
match. So predictions would just consist of picking who would win in a
24 hour match. We would be able to skip through all the blowouts like we are now, and yet still have fair, exciting 24 hour matches when they come up. Full of the big ASV/Night swings that we used to see. It would alter the actual day matches are on, but I don't think most people would have a problem with that. --- KrahenProphet and Nintendo cleaned me out in the Guru Contest. |

Well, for people thinking Charizard over Sora/Bowser because it's the day of HG/SS release it might matter. But there can very easily be a match where someone could get 52.6% either at day or night but still lose a 24-hour match (It'd be much easier to go 52.6% at night and still lose, especially if you're up against a monster ASV character). Thus, not knowing when it would have been could make a huge difference. |

There have only been 9 matches under 52.5 so far, barely adding any time to the contest at all. As for game release dates, you'll just have to try predicting how many close matches we'll have. That's no different from having to predict LFF in 4-ways, where a certain entrant could screw over another entrant if it advances.
