Mario got 82% against Ness and Falco. I fully expect this to be a tripling when all is said and done.

Ike would easily own either of them, so I don't see why people would expect the same kinda beating.

Looks like Ike is going up now, though.

Plus Falco is a popular tournament favorite in both Melee and Brawl while Ike has never been a tourney favorite.

Of course, we have the fact that Ike got a 4 seed while Falco got a 16 seed, lol.

Although Ike is one of them "Smash guys," so Mario should theoretically beat up on him from the end of the Power Hour onwards.

Yesterday's match confirmed Vivi>Tidus>Rikku in my mind. Vivi did the same against Kirby in a day match that Rikku did in a night match, and Tidus got like...49% on Vivi back in 07.

Kirby probably was the overall favorite, but I imagine it was fairly split. Altair only had 55% of the brackets getting past round 1.

Interesting how Rikku > Vivi in the x-stats because Vivi faced Kirby in the day while Rikku did it in the night.

It does make the x-stats look a bit iffier. Of course, you could attempt to get average differences between night and day matches and adjust the value accordingly, but that's way too much work and some characters won't have nearly enough data.

Probably still not as bad as LFF-laden four-way x-stats, but definitely not going to be too reliable for close matches where some characters may underperform. Vivi's crew would look better in a night match, and then we'd likely get Liquid > GlaDOS.

So yeah, lol x-stats.

And based on this early performance, I believe it's safe to call for Crono > Mario! Based on Ike's current percentage, Mario gets 73.67% on Zidane, and Crono got 76.72% in 2005, adding up to a 55.79% victory for Crono!
