To figure out a character's Xsts Percentage ---> [(CvB)(BvA)]/50 = CvA
To compare how C would do against B ---> [(CvA)/(BvA)]*50 = CvB
To figure out how B would do against A ---> [(CvA)/(CvB)]*50 = BvA

~*Say What? Some Common Stat Topic Lingo Defined*~

SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote, because the Zelda fanbase so clearly sided with him. However, take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make total sense. This has caused a few SFF jokes, with LordOfDabu's "Some Frivolous Factor" being the funniest of them.

X-Stats - Short form of Extrapolated Statistics, aka the mathematical "strength" of a contestant that can be determined based on their performance in any given matchup. See above for a detailed explanation of the x-stat process.

Noble Nine - Link, Cloud, Sephiroth, Mario, Crono, Solid Snake, Sonic, Samus and Mega Man.

Near-Elite - The Squall, Auron, Tifa, Vincent, Zelda, Kirby, Missingno etc group that has come at, near or even ahead of Noble Nine characters in the past.

The Fodder Line - A final X-Stat value of 15% or below.

Kirby went even with Bowser and Luigi in the ASV after getting beat pretty badly up to then. And it makes sense that he has pseudo Smash trends (strong power hour and ASV)- most of his strength does come from Smash, after all.

And I think Kirby's chances are really low after the way we just saw Sonic tear apart Bacondorf. Yeah, it's Bacondorf at night, but it was also 57%. I'll be happy with Kirby if he breaks 45%.

I'm just saying that beating Mario Party with the day vote isn't anything special. Zero was below 45% on Luigi before the day vote came. He gained more on Weegi than Kirby did during the day.

I liked playing as Bowser just because of his shell spin move. But if you were playing it seriously, Bowser is really low on the list.

Fact. Ike probably barely outdoes Falco.
Fiction. Snake might be able to crush Hayabusa, but Mega Man doesn't seem to have quite the pseudo-SFF potential and Hayabusa can't be too much of a slouch.
Fact. We especially need more exciting matches that involve Clinkeroth. And ideally awesome upsets.

Like Albion said the first round doesn't really count. Adding 64 characters significantly weakens the bracket so this is like the second round.

Yeah, but you can still balance things enough to where you don't end up with fodder winning two matches.

Although really, Ike and Hayabusa aren't fodder. Ike just so happens to be getting fed to an SFF match and Hayabusa loses his cool design in the sprite round, so we didn't do too badly, I guess. It's not like Neku or somebody made round three.

Actually, thinking about it. I'd give Phoenix a slight chance in a night match just because Ness's night vote is so bad. I think Phoenix could make it to the morning with the lead. I just don't know that he could HOLD IT.
