True, I always hated Yuffie more for that, but I believe she's gotten in other FF-games since then and at least she had something of a fanbase from FF7...I'm surprised Cait Sith has any real redeeming qualities. Besides, he stole from you too!

I just realized that barring a Bacondorf upset, our first three divisions will have a 1 vs 3 seed final matchup.

Too bad there's probably nothing too jokey in OoT or FF7! Zolom bombed and I think Epona would actually be more legit than joke.

Happy Mask Salesman. He's got a much bigger role in Majora's Mask than in Ocarina of Time, but he's still in the latter...and he's probably the best candidate I can think of for a joke entrant from Zelda.

Personally, I think this would be hilarious. I'd be much more likely to get behind a joke character than, well, whatever Missingno. and L-Block are. (Although right now, I'd take just about anything over Missingno.)

The best joke-character from LoZ has already made two contests: Tingle.

Epona would be fairly legit...joke'ish, sure, but she's a regular in the series and people legitimately like her. Epona's also useful and seen a lot, so -- with Sheik becoming ineligible and having seen Midna several times now -- Epona's the next character we should go for from the series.

If company-matches get pictures, Valve would do pretty well I imagine. The PC-fanbase loves the company and they've made some pretty great games in recent years to go along with their additional focus to consoles. I wouldn't say powerhouse, but they'd be a top ten company Nintendo/Square/Capcom/Konami would be so far ahead of everything else.

Epona wouldn't be a joke- most people, or at least the Zelda fanbase, consider her a real character.

The name matters a lot for potential jokes- "Random Piece of FFVII Furniture" would be way stronger than any piece of FFVII furniture that had a name.
