And I'll remember that, thanks. But when you're starting from this small -- http://www.smbhq.com/users/sprite/smb3_spritesheet.gif -- it's hard to make it as big as needed without making it look weird. Plus that static TV filter is just... ugh. My stuff is clear as a bell when I make it, but then it gets stuck behind some filter.

Ulti, quick bit of advice: for good resizing in MSPaint, highlight the sprite, go to Image -> Stretch/Skew, and enter values in the Height & Width value boxes (should be equal and multiples of 100 to look right. )

Or just zoom in, and then print screen >_>

I disagree; I quickly took the sprite you used from there and just quickly enlarged it 400%

Um, no it's not--I started from those images to see how long it would take me, and ended up with about 2 minutes, including opening the paint program all the way through saving the file.

And I was restricting myself to Paint. If you're not willing to buy Photoshop, at least download The GIMP (it's free).

I'm surprised with you giving Vivi higher upset potential than Kirby. I don't think Vivi has ever displayed the type of strength necessary to take Kirby, and he's got the puffster in the daytime. Kirby already put up 57% on Rikku at night, and depending on how much stock you put in that Vivi/Tidus result from 2007, Rikku might not even be far behind Vivi. I'm not worried about Kirby at all in that one (actually, it'd probably be better for my bracket if Vivi did beat him), but I'm pretty worried about Sonic. Kirby has beaten him once, and it's not as though he looked particularly impressive beforehand. He just took steroids, showed up, and beat Sonic.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that people might be banking on the iconic Black Mage sprite to help Vivi out (he might not even get that if it's not technically him, though). I can understand that, but 57% on Rikku at night is a performance that simply seems out of Vivi's league. I think people are putting too much stock in Altair here. **** Liquid, Liquid sucks.

I forgot about this being a day match (as well as Kirby likely sporting a much better sprite), so Vivi should probably be lowered to about 5-10% of an upset chance, maybe even lower. Both of those numbers betray more a lack of faith in Kirby than anything else, though. I don't see him having a chance.

Actually, Tidus would still be slightly ahead of Phoenix, but just barely.

It also projects both of them to be stronger than Fox McCloud!

And it makes Ratchet stronger than Ridley, so when you think about it that way, Jecht's performance doesn't look so bad!

If the picture is that bad, I wouldn't blink an eye if Ryu made a run for 60%. RE sprites are simply horrendous while SF's are some of the best in history, but maybe Bacon will sympathize with that and give Leon an RE4 in-game model or something.

Seriously though, Axel edged out Lightning in the vote-in poll, and she got 36-37% on Sonic. If Axel could manage that, it would make KH not look so bad. Roxas met expectations against Sub-Zero, I think. Which would leave the only really bad KH performance as...Riku, but he already looked pretty sorry last year. Speaking of, what are we expecting from Captain Falcon against Cloud? Do we think he's going to break 30% or so? If he could, that'd reflect pretty well on him considering he'd beat out Chris and Ridley.

Of course, I'm trying to make sense out of a 12-way poll, so whatever.

Or maybe Baltier is indeed stronger than Axel? Balthier did improve a bit based on his 2008 showing and Axel is no longer as strong as he used to be.
