Contest Stats and Discussion - Part 862

Ryu was pretty cripling, but I basically have to hope for Sonic and Sora to hold ground against their two Nintendo opponents, for Seph to survive the glitch and beat Snake, and especially for Auron to beat Squall.

This is the best I've ever done in the contest, so even if I lose, I can't complain at all.

I told yoblazer over AIM that he and I have the same exact bracket here on out sans Charizard/Sora and Snake/Seph.

I hope that one of us wins, so I'm wanting either both of those results to go my way, or both his. I would be pretty gutted for yoblazer if he goes perfect the rest of the way and then Sephiroth beats Snake and kills his chances, especially considering Charizard losing pretty much eliminates me anyways.

Among the gurus, Junglebob took Missingno to beat Snake and lose to Cloud. RockMFR took Missingno to win it all. No other picks over Sephiroth.

Looks like this Junglebob's bracket was pretty well thought with logic - he must've thought that bandwagoning would take Missingno past the 12 hour matches, but not be enough for 24 hours.

Or, he just really likes Cloud.

So how much are we expecting Ness to drop once we're out of the Power Hour? He's brought the Asia lead down from over 67% to 57% now. He might keep this close overnight.

Doubt he'll drop too much, but it should still be enough for Daddy to gain and hold. Like Leonhart said, Smash guys like Ness are much more about the ASV than the morning vote.

I'll like to see some nice gains from Daddy before I feel really comfortable, though.

Astoundingly enough, it seems that Ness is making a much of this solely due to South America and maybe the Netherlands.

It's virtually tied or he's losing badly everywhere else. North America is currently 50.18% for Ness.

Who knew South America could wield such influence.

I think that's just the rest of the world being that much of a non influence right now.

Big Daddy's lead is dropping like a stone everywhere in the Eastern Hemisphere except Oceania, and they've probably made most of their votes right now (it's 4-6 pm there already). This could get amazing overnight.
HaRRicH | Posted 3/3/2010 10:14:29 PM | message detail
At least Rikku can try to blame Frog in the vote-ins and she had Kirby in a night-match. Still, yeah, if the vote-ins are to be taken THAT seriously, Kirby may be in trouble.

Then again, I've been saying that pre-contest against Vivi. Kirby should win, but it shouldn't be an easy victory.

I missed the entire Yoshi v. Missingno match because of a 12 hour day at Wendy's. Eghe

But from the result of the poll, I think Sephiroth's more than safe. But in the outside chance it does happen I think the glitch gets carried to the finals after that.

or get stopped by Steroid Snake which would make my bracket happy :)
