I wouldn't expect much crazier than a doubling from Snake from a perfectly candid standpoint. Fox did great on Sora, looks great, and I can't imagine Protoman getting THAT close to him.

So what I'll predict is Snake gets 70%+, of course. But y'know.

You people are just under-rating Ryu of this year. I knew going into this year that Ryu was going to be a powerhouse. SFIV has done him wonders, and the mainstream appeal from that game and other titles in the near future are going to boost him back up to probably one of the top 15.

Analysis

Not much to talk about this match. Solid Snake is an established powerhouse while Fox has only had one match that is telling about his strength. This match is more about where Fox stands rather than where Solid Snake stands and whether or not he has a chance of repeating his impressive performance of last contest.

Fox’s only fair match was last contest where he put decent numbers on Sora, but with how Sora has been performing lately maybe those numbers aren’t as impressive as once thought. Fox was also able to hold well against Yoshi which suggests that Fox is at least a decent mid-card. His performance against Lloyd was impressive, but I would blame that on Nintendo/Symphonia overlap than Fox looking stronger.

The main question is if Fox can compete with the likes of Vivi and Zero and personally I think he is slightly weaker than those two which means Solid Snake should be able to push for a doubling when looking at last contest’s numbers. However it seems that Metal Gear characters have calm down after their crazy performance in the last contest which suggests that the Metal Gear Solid 4 boost has probably fallen off. Maybe Fox has a good chance at avoiding the doubling.
