still have no idea how people are thinking that this match has anything
to do with the pics. Dante looks the same in every single game -- he
wouldn't look any different in a face pic match if he had DMC 1, 2, 3
or 4 pictures. It's absolutely ridiculous and just an excuse as to why
he lost. Of course he looked better than Ryu every year considering Ryu
hadn't had a relevant release since what? SFIII? The reality is that Ryu just got some of his biggest exposure in the last decade just this year (well, 2009) and they're building on it with future hyped releases. of Fighting Factor FFF, Triple F, so many games, not starring, but

not sure what Ryu's expected to get on Cloud based on previous matches,
but he should do pretty good there. Not like Cloud's been hitting them

know, In spite of this I still somehow believe Dante is stronger, I'm
like tempted to say this is a Mario/Samus situation where you think a
guy's tougher indirectly, but then in the actual matchup...well of
course if this were true, then the capcom guys sure know how to hide
it, they hide to the point where it seems non-existant. But still, even though I'm seeing Ryu winning, it just feels wrong for Dante to not be on a higher echelon of power. --- Shakes Fist! |

Is it the 47% on Pikachu or Kirby? 52% on Leon or Master Chief? 30% on Sephiroth or Snake? Cause nothing there really says "there's no way Ryu could do that" to me. --- Mustache...and Green... |

pre-contest and calling me an idiot for saying this match smelled of an
upset, even though every single thing pointed to Dante winning. This is

Who else thinks that Squall is the only 2 seed that makes it out of this round? Pretty much guaranteed at this point (LOL Gordon Freeman), but only because Squall gets to face a chump. has always been solid, and the argument for him winning today was good
enough to not feel burned by losing points if you chose him here. That
said, I am a bit surprised at how many people were convinced Dante was
going to win this match without much of a sweat. He's never looked that
good, especially considering how round 1 went between the two. Still

In terms of an actual split, though, there were a few matches more debated than this one. Cloud
doesn't look like a hotshot this year, but that's all the more reason
