It's
hilarious how during the hockey game, it was one long stall by Dante.
Then the instant the medal ceremony was over, Ryu starting

Albeit...this is a day match which was to the advantage of Dante, plus he had the hockey factor taking would-be North American Ryu voters away, if you believe in that. He doesn't keep it that close in a 24-hour match. Dante should have done better overnight according to Geolocation, but the hockey watchers would have voted earlier in the day, so I imagine the final result probably stays fairly close to what it is now. --- "It's a bloody convention out there! SF and it's characters almost always do significnatly better in the first 12 hours of the match as opposed to the 2nd 12 hours - with the only exception in like 10 matches being the Crono/L-Block/Ryu match, where Ryu barely did better the 2nd 12 hours, and he was with...well...Crono and L-Block, who are even more lopsided than him. --- gamefaqscontests.com gamefaqscontests.com/gallery |

this is just a wild theory and likely incorrect, but I wonder if the

Why are people acting like Dante is some choker all of a sudden? This is what? The second close match he's ever lost? Votes per hour in this match: 1:00 | 9931 2:00 | 8549 3:00 | 8105 4:00 | 7120 5:00 | 6414 6:00 | 5761 7:00 | 5756 Hockey Factor is for real as the votes for the last hour barely dropped from the hour before that. In the Super Bowl match, the votes actually boosted a tiny bit in the hour after the Super Bowl ended.
