I really like Ryu's chances in the sprite round if he can win this. SFII sprite after beating Dante, who beat Leon twice before -- I like those chances!

But leon didn't have darkside chronicles, RE5, Degenearation and w/e else against dante now did he?

Though yeah Leon should lose, but i'm just hoping for a good match instead of an ulti-style blowout.

Leon's pretty close to these two, but at the same time there's really no reason to think he'll win. I'd expect about the same margin as the round 2 match with Dante in 2008 if it weren't the sprite round, though I'm not sure how much difference that will make.

Leon is basically in the limbo know as midcard hell, too strong for the lower tiers, not good enough to make a match of it against the round 3 and beyond elites.

Okay, so we're an hour in...Dante's not given up the lead since like the four-minute mark or whatever, but the west coast is looking pretty intimidating. I fear Ryu's gonna win this, but...hey, we'll see.

Too bad for Ryu that this is a day match. Despite the seeming weakness of SF in Europe leading one to believe that the day is better for SF, that would be incorrect - it's about 12-hour segments, not just certain vote blocks like the morning vote. And somehow, SF is significantly and consistently better in the first 12 hours than the 2nd twelve. If Dante wins by less than 51%, then we can say that Ryu would've likely won a 24-hour match with some small confidence.

I'm rooting for Ryu here so I'm hoping the West Coast vote saves him, as the Europe influence dies off. Who knows what will happen though.
