Match LXXXVII: (3) Leon Kennedy vs. (6) Sackboy Last Round Leon Kennedy – 60.81% Vault Boy – 39.19% Sackboy – 54.58% Kratos Aurion – 45.42% Analysis The winner of this match is pretty obvious, but the percent is up for much debate. While Vault Boy performed rather well people insist that it was more about Vault Boy having strength rather than Leon’s weakness and I support that idea. Fallout 3 and the series are popular on GameFAQs and the mascot is pretty much everywhere in that game. While Resident Evil 5 has taken some of the light away from Leon I don’t believe that he will drop because of it for at least another few years. Calling Sackboy right was pretty awesome, but his match against Kratos didn’t exactly tell us what his strength is. While Lloyd also looked worse in this contest I believe that Nintendo and Tales of Symphonia have some overlap. I believe that Sackboy is pretty close to the fodder line in terms of strength and while that is nowhere close to Leon or even as close as Vault Boy it is pretty decent when you consider what he was reduced to in the previous contest. Leon should have an easier time winning this match than he did against Vault Boy though I wouldn’t be surprised if Sackboy was able to outperform the kid with how little we know about him. Kratos Aurion's like how he was in 2008, yeah, Sackboy's gonna have his
face bashed in. If Aurion's like how he's been every other year,
Sackboy may outdo Vault Boy. Hard to tell until the match starts which

The
Vault Boy result makes perfect sense when I think about it, especially
considering that Fallout 3 likely breaks 40% on Resident Evil 4 in a
games contest. I'll be surprised if Sackboy is stronger than Vault Boy. That won't sit well for anyone who is taking Leon to beat Ryu/Dante, though Leon > Ryu makes sense now. |

I checked out all the SF matches since 2K7 and here's what I found - these results compare what percent it had at noon, vs. what it ended the match with: Games SFII Round 1 35.69% to 35.58% SFIV Round 1 14.35% to 13.38% 2K8 Ryu Round 1 32.29% to 31.57% Ryu Round 2 23.66% to 23.85% (Crono and L-Block match, who also suck with the day) 2K7 Ryu Round 1 to 37.58% to 36.30% Ryu Round 2 26.87% to 26.16% Ryu Round 3 21.67% to 20.25% Ryu Round 4 11.71% to 11.54% Hmm...seems like the Dante match being a day match is real bad for Ryu. Street Fighter lost big chunks of %age in almost every match. Dante analysis: 2K8 Dante Round 4 16.99% to 16.90% Dante Round 3 26.82% to 26.15% Dante Round 2 33.77% to 33.90% Dante Round 1 48.98% to 50.08% 2K7 Dante Round 5 14.91% to 15.13% Dante Round 4 27.28% to 26.59% Dante Round 3 30.38% to 30.43% Dante Round 2 41.80% to 43.41% Dante Round 1 48.95% to 49.19% So taking the average of those numbers, Dante (Day) scores 50.19% on Dante (Night). Which confirms what we pretty much already knew: Dante is basically the baromter for day/night neutral chacters. So if you think Ryu wins this match on a weekday's 2nd 12 hours, you have to think he wins with around ~51.50% in a 24-hour match. Before the contest I didn't really understand why Dante was the big favorite, I thought it was a toss-up match. I went with Ryu. Now I understand better though - looking at Ryu's more recent history, there's a number of performances that stand out. His 41.96% on Mega Man in 2K6, his 42.20% against Auron, and his horrible 28.99% on a Cloud LFFed by Auron. Those are all pretty bad.
