A = Strongest Character
B = Character Weaker than A

To figure out a character's Xsts Percentage ---> [(CvB)(BvA)]/50 = CvA
To compare how C would do against B ---> [(CvA)/(BvA)]*50 = CvB
To figure out how B would do against A ---> [(CvA)/(CvB)]*50 = BvA

~*Say What? Some Common Stat Topic Lingo Defined*~

SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote, because the Zelda fanbase so clearly sided with him. However, take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make total sense. This has caused a few SFF jokes, with LordOfDabu's "Some Frivolous Factor" being the funniest of them.

X-Stats - Short form of Extrapolated Statistics, aka the mathematical "strength" of a contestant that can be determined based on their performance in any given matchup. See above for a detailed explanation of the x-stat process.

Noble Nine - Link, Cloud, Sephiroth, Mario, Crono, Solid Snake, Sonic, Samus and Mega Man.

Near-Elite - The Squall, Auron, Tifa, Vincent, Zelda, Kirby, Missingno etc group that has come at, near or even ahead of Noble Nine characters in the past.

The Fodder Line - A final X-Stat value of 15% or below.

Maybe, but I don't think the difference between the two Prince of Persias is anything astronomical.

But Sands of Time Persia losing to Simon Belmont and Tails doesn't really reflect very well on him either way!

You have no logic. Jecht has been in two matches, did extremely well in his vote-in, and you assume he's weak because you've never even played his game. So like I said, end of discussion. I'm putting my favorite pet to sleep in an hour, so I'm not in the mood to deal with ramblings from whiny pseudo-experts whose entire argument is "I never played their game, so they must be weak because I say so". So yes, "I'm right, you're wrong, shut up" is perfectly valid. You have no idea what you're talking about, AGAIN, and any one of a hundred posts with you railing against Red prove it. What good results? Tails's only good performance ever was against Viewtiful Joe! I'm not saying he's trash, but strong characters don't lose to him. Same with Simon Belmont. They're low midcard at best.

Although Prince of Persia's only character he ever finished higher than was Viewtiful Joe, too!

Since those vote-in polls have been pretty predictive of most of the other characters in the contest.

Simon boosting doesn't make much sense, but there's a lot of matches so far that makes no sense! Maybe Ezio actually is Kratos-level strong!

Ratchet was bottom-feeder trash for years until this contest, and the PS3 resurgence paired with that amazing commercial clearly helped him a lot. Phoenix and Jecht are not at all weak.

Ratchet wasn't exactly worth much when PS2 was THE system on GameFAQs and R&C's always had well-liked commercials. Phoenix easily broke GFNW the only other time we've seen him one-on-one and Jecht isn't going to be that strong -- he's a NPC in FFX (one I understand isn't seen often) and in Dissidia. He's not getting close to Tidus, especially since he barely lost to Vivi so he can stand up to some degree in SFF-battles.

I think Ratchet has boosted to some degree, but odds are Phoenix and Jecht are pretty weak too.

Considering I've got this as 65/35 (and Travis got 30% on Zelda), Ezio getting 37% wouldn't really change my mind about him. He could probably beat Jecht, honestly, even with 35%.
