Now THAT is a good Kratos picture! L-Block looks awesome too, and Charizard is pretty good as well; Isaac really got the short end of the stick here, though. Between his rubbish picture and L-Block's amazing one, I can't see him doing better than HK-47 did.

I ended up voting for Kefka today. I'm glad I did, too - the day vote hit him pretty hard.

Analysis

So much for joke characters being a lot weaker in this format, L-Block had no problem smashing the competition. It might not make it a threat to the higher ranked characters, but it does make it a high mid-card. That however puts it at having a low chance of winning this division. The only way I see it winning is if L-Block gets a bandwagon starting next round.

While Isaac was the heavy favourite to win he was able to destroy Layton by a lot more than what most people expected, which is weird considering Layton had every reason to boost. Was this some kind of handheld SFF, Golden Sun 3 boost or a combination of the two. Isaac while looking better than most people’s expectations hasn’t really shown that he is anymore than fodder. While Golden Sun 3 is a hyped game it seems that Isaac won’t be in the game, but the resurface of the series may have reminded people about Isaac’s existence.

If Isaac did receive any kind of boost he may have a chance of outperforming HK-47, but seeing Layton getting crushed by a fellow handheld character is not that surprising and I find it more likely that L-Block will perform better in this match compare to round 1. For L-Block to have a chance next round it would need to get one of the biggest blowouts of the round.

Thanks for the good words. I was actually surprised it was used - just because it's basically the same as a round 1 picture. L-Block doesn't work for zoomed-in mug shots, though.

I could be wrong, but I'm imaging any closeup of Big Daddy will lead to a pic disadvantage. You kinda need the whole body for him to truly be recognizable.
