think Europe can be a pretty big cash cow even if you have to translate

what it's worth, this was Bowser's second best hour against Frog last
round. His best hour came two hours later. I wonder if we'll follow the
same pattern here. That's a pretty common pattern. 6-7 (West Coast ASV) is usually the strongest hour in the ASV, followed by 4-5 (Central and Eastern). --- Missingno's quest to avenge Crono - Round 2: Yoshi |

Sonic
was already getting 51.78% on Crono before the ASV started, the ASV
boosted that to 53.37%. Crono was more of a just collapse after a few
hours rather than collapse with the ASV guy. --- A refusal of praise is a desire to be praised twice. |
RPGuy96 | Posted 2/23/2010 2:35:14 PM | message detail |
Yeah, CT is so bad in Europe they really don't have a good time period aside from the very beginning and very end of a match. I think that's what happened in Bowser/Frog, by the way. Frog would normally have a decent DSV, but because Europe exercised a disproportionate influence on it due to not voting earlier, he sucked during the DSV instead. When we transitioned to the ASV, he just sort of continued sucking. Since Kefka/FFVI is decent-to-good in Europe, he doesn't have that problem. Which allows him to completely collapse once we move from Europe/American DSV to American kiddies. --- Mustache...and Green... |

Assuming
Bowser doesn't rise another 2% (which he actually could at this rate)
is there any reason not to say that Kefka>Frog? |

Would you really expect frog to not raise his game in a close encounter of the weird kind? --- Shakes Fist! |
red sox 777 | Posted 2/23/2010 3:42:13 PM | message detail |
Just the old irrational reasoning of always go with Frog in a close match and never go with Kefka. Also, there's a chance Kefka gets stuck with lettuce again, or something. --- Missingno's quest to avenge Crono - Round 2: Yoshi |
LeonhartFour | Posted 2/23/2010 3:42:52 PM | message detail |
Nah,
Bowser's not gonna get more than 62% at this rate, if he gets that
high. Kefka will bring him down a decent bit once we get into night
vote territory, too. --- "I can set you free, mate." "My freedom was forfeit long ago!" |
red sox 777 | Posted 2/23/2010 3:44:37 PM | message detail |
And
I'd definitely go with Frog. When I think a CT character has more than
a 25% chance of winning, I pick them. And if I think they have a 25%
chance of winning most people would probably give them a 5% chance of
winning. --- Missingno's quest to avenge Crono - Round 2: Yoshi |
LeonhartFour | Posted 2/23/2010 3:45:34 PM | message detail |
Kefka and Frog are gonna end up close enough in the final stats to be in tossup territory. Close enough that I want to see that match next year, in fact. --- "Hold on a minute! That testimony stinks!" "Witness! You can't just say 'Hello' and expect us to get anywhere! I want you to testify!" |
creativename | Posted 2/23/2010 3:45:39 PM | message detail |
I think the safe assumption is Kefka>Frog now. But there are some things to reason for Frog with - Kefka being inconsistent/Frog more proven, possible Dissidia boost wearing off or something, and also both had day matches with Bowser. Frog is relatively better than Kefka at the first half, I believe. --- gamefaqscontests.com gamefaqscontests.com/gallery |
