I'm looking for a single Tales character capable of beating Ramza (he's the weakest of the bunch, right?)... and the best bets are a guy who got tripled by Zero once, and a guy who just lost to Sackboy.

And by the way, you realize this is the same stats topic that - at one point - wanted to get in half the cast of FFVI because 'one of them has to be decent'

Not really sure where you're going. That was years ago, and Shadow, Locke and Celes were really the only ones people wanted to see.

Shadow would've had formidable strength back then as well. But he's likely fallen off a lot, and people don't talk about him anymore.

Course, Shadow and Locke still belong in a 128 character bracket ahead of much of the junk we have, but whatever. They're not huge losses.

Kratos's Fury does taste damn good. I got the Extra Large and am still kinda feeling it (I haven't done the sugary drinks in a while), but it was worth it.

I really wish I lived by a 7-Eleven. Kratos' Fury sounds... well, godly.

I'm saying it's ridiculous that the same stats topic that once tried to get in a bunch of characters who would all inevitably suck are constantly ragging on 2 ToS characters for being slightly worse, if that. If the excuse is 'well I'm counting ALL Tales characters' then that's even worse as that makes no sense. We don't deride FF7 characters because FF6 characters are weak.

Exactly. Nobody wants to see them. They're not even like Guybrush, with ardent defenders, they're just...well..cockroaches, really :D Don't mean to be too insulting to the poor buggers of course, but that's the best analogy I can think of.

I think that the reason he didn't make it is that he is from a flash game. There is probably a rule against that...But I'll try to help out with him again next contest.

I'll use my super secret weapon of Brazilian forums and fluent Portuguese to get Dan McNeely, Godot and Layle in next contest. Book it.

I wouldn't even take Vaan over Yuri Lowell. he would be a bigger anti-vote magnet than anyone we've ever seen.

Let me simplify this.

1. Tales of the Abyss characters suck. Horribly.
2. Tales of Symphonia character are weak, but still deserving of a spot if they get the nominations.
3. That should not equal "Lloyd and Kratos suck! Look at what those other Tales characters are doing!"

Bowser has had his moments, though. He's come the closest of anyone of dethroning the N9 in 1v1 until Missingno. Of course he had the perfect storm of the 2005 Nintendo Boost, his solid performance in the Villains Contest, facing the weakest N9 member at the time, and having one of the weirdest pic advantages imaginable, and even then he still couldn't pull it off.

Yeah, Sora is still the favorite here.

Nobody ever remembers Tifa. Probably because she's been wasted in every single bracket since then.

If that were true these characters wouldn't all be fodder!

They've got a big enough fanbase to easily get nominations, but not big enough to make them strong. Its kinda like Guybrush that way. He's got one of the most hardcore fanbases otu there, its just a small hardcore fanbase that will always make sure he gets in.

From what I've seen, Luke is far more polarizing than that.

Jade is the overwhelming fan favorite. Opinions on Luke range to both extremes.

Everyone got murdered. Abysmal prediction percentages across the board. We lose all of the -4s and all but two -5s and all but six -6s and three of those were former -4s. Prediction percentage improves slightly as you go down the tiers. But it's not until the -34 brackets that prediction percentage cracks 20. If you managed to get this match right, you would shoot up in the rankings.

9 people fell off the Top 50 for not having Ryu Hayabusa win. KirbyDanteYoshi, nintendogirl1, DaemonDragon, fr0g804, Agent_M, AffeldtABoob, frodragon, Safer_777 and TeamRocketElite. ;_; This is the first time my main bracket has made the Top 50 since 2005. It didn't last long, but I look to make it back soon.

I figured I was probably forgetting someone there. Of course, Tifa also had insane circumstances as well, plus she was going against Samus, who was certainly no pre-2006 Snake.
