I've been gone since round 2 of 2004 guys. The x-stats have been amazingly reliable so far (darn you Ryu Hayabusa and your 27 vote victory over Jill that denied me my perfect bracket), so I'll assume with confidence that since Crono got 70% on Magus in 2004, and Magus got 35% on Link in 2003, Crono must have beaten Link with at least an Ulti-style blowout in 2004, and gone on to win the contest. After all, Magus rSFF'd Crono like everyone thought he would, right? Fill me in on what happened in the next 6 years- did anyone ever dethrone Crono?

I think an easy way you could educate yourself daily is to check out the previous polls for each character in each match every day. That'd be four searches a day under this format...and check out the results that come up that interest you.

Yeah, this might actually be the first time this contest where the popular vote in the US contradicts the final for the world. Red-Ocelot was the only one where the loser of the poll won the electoral, but even then the popular vote went the same way as the global popular vote.

I just realized something. If we take Knuckles base value from last year as 23% on base Link, and then take his last 1v1 contest % which was expected to be 32% (zomg) you end up with 27.5 on base Link. Assuming this is true that puts Sonic at just under 43% against Link. (This is assuming that Knuckles didn't get SFFed, which is likely just look at Zero vs. MM.)

To become knowledgeable, I read all of the post-match descriptions on the wiki and well as looked up all the old x-stats and went character by character for all of their contest histories. I did this a while back (even I've been sort of following since 2002) and I still don't feel knowledgeable enough to post actual predictions on here.

You can tell there's a large difference from when I'm just kidding around, or trolling (acting elitist) and when I'm not. You can also tell that the people that act elitist in this topic (names wont be given) actually believe in that elitism. It's very different.
