After Hayabusa beat Zero (in an albeit clearly fishy match), I should have seen this coming. Chief has dropped like a rock from his 4-way strength, and is probably even weaker than his 2006/2005 self.

Chief is getting a little too much hate here. By the time this match is over, it'll be a lot closer than it is now. Hayabusa should still win, but it won't be in the mid-50s. Master Chief -- and really, Halo in general, despite having a couple of games -- has been dormant since 2007. There's only so long he can hold on to real strength without a nice injection of Microsoft marketing every couple of years. He kind of got the bad end of the stick this year with the timing of the contest, because he would have probably rocked Hayabusa pretty hard if we were having this in September instead of February.

Oh, and not to mention Gordon and Duke from Ike's 2007 4-pack have looked pretty bad. The only one coming up looking better is Guybrush Threepwood!

It's too bad Halo Reach isn't closer to being out, because that'd give him a boost... even though he's no in it. All those Spartans look the same anyway.

Halo Reach is basically Halo 0, even though MC isn't the main star, I'm sure he'll be in it. Besides, all the Spartans are pretty similar looking >_>

Goes pretty much as expected. Mega Man does well for the first few hours, Zack gets 40%+ during the night and early morning, and Mega Man recovers the last few hours.

At this point, I doubt Chief will do much more then stall, maybe get back a couple hundred instead of making a comeback. Its becoming too big of a lead.

I dont' see whats so surprising...MC gets most of his votes from the xbox community and halo fanbase, seeing as though majority of NG fans had the orignal Xbox, that really hurts MC..on top of that Ryu's established(but smaller) fanbase on other consoles..and obviously most of the neutrals are not going to vote for a helmet dude over a Ninja.

Will that ever happen again, though? ODST didn't do anything, which means Reach probably won't. Bungie is leaving after Reach, and it doesn't look like Microsoft has found a replacement to step up and take the series.
