Probably not, but in general the difference between a day or night match and a 24-hour match will not exceed 2%. Even with the most extreme case you could come up with (say, CT vs. KH), it shouldn't exceed 3% or so.

Do it for the rest of the countries/regions, and -- while it won't be exact -- that should make it more precise.

You could even try looking up the distribution of votes in each character's past matches and perhaps make it more precise. That just adds up to a LOT more work though, as if the above idea isn't work enough.

I think the issue is that in addition to geolocation trends, there are actual day/night trends too (as in CT is great in North America but it always falls during the ASV anyway)

Ike is getting hammered in everywhere but North and South America (and even in South America, he's trailing by a bit). I'm thanking the format bigtime right now, although we're still at a net loss because Crono might have been able to take a night match against the Miss.

There's no possible way any character can swing 3000 votes after being down by that much. Coming back from 1500 down to win with 1500 is possible, but cutting 3000 after being down by more than that is a different thing entirely. There's no way Cecil would've won a 24-hour match.

Knuckles actually did better in Europe. It's doubtful that the Night Vote would have hurt him too badly. And where are you getting this from that Sonic Team does bad at night. Going through all of their matches from 2008, none of them did bad with it.

So is this Zidane getting stronger, Ike being weaker than we thought, or a bit of both? I guess after seeing how well Ammy did on Luigi (and how it made Shadow look pretty good by association), it makes Zidane look pretty decent. Zidane almost certainly wins a night match here. A 24 hour match, though, I don't know.
