I'm... not seeing the problem here.

There's a blatant Kingdom Hearts/Nintendo overlap. It's not much, but it's there. And Sora was got over 48% on Squall anyway so my post makes perfect sense.

Man, if Sora couldn't beat Squall with Cloud in the poll (Squall's absolute worst opponent and undoubtedly worse for Squall than for Sora), he's not beating Squall, period. Not before KHIII.

All in all, this is a good show for both characters. Ken is probably going to avoid the doubling, and Ganondorf isn't embarrassing himself in spite of his Elevator Ganon picture. I just wish I wasn't busy during the ASV - that'll be entertaining, that's for sure!

In both of those matches last year, Sora would have beaten Squall if he wasn't mysteriously weak in the UK. More importantly, if you remove Yoshi and Fox or Mewtwo, he probably would have won. One on one, Squall wouldn't break 51% on Sora if he did win.

Squall still wins both those matches if you take out the UK,with 50.99% with Fox/Yoshi and 50.22% with Cloud/Mewtwo.

Kingdom Hearts and Nintendo have very similar patterns and have similar audiences among the voters. There's bound to be some overlap. You don't need to have solid ties to share an audience-I thought we'd all realised that. Nothing huge, but enough to give Sora an extra 1% on Squall.

Also Leonheart you assume Cloud would hurt Squall significantly more than he would Sora(including whatever damage Mewtwo does) which really doesn't have much justification behind it, and considering the consistency between rounds, likely isn't the case.

A Kingdom Hearts/Nintendo overlap makes even less sense than this idiotic CT/Castlevania overlap people keep harping about. Squall certainly didn't get his huge boost in 2003 from a GBA game! I doubt the GBA or DS games are what keeps him in the same area as Vincent and Crono! I doubt Sora was held back by ****ing Yoshi when the two have nothing in common.

Why do we keep getting consecutively dumber people? First there was Tsunami, then Eternal, and now this guy.

Everything has overlap. You need to show proof that the overlap actually leads to SFF or LFF. I'm not sure I'd even agree with the "similar audiences" considering Kingdom Hearts is primarily a Playstation series. Similar trends is not a strong enough connection to claim SFF or LFF will defintely occur.

You don't need to have solid ties to share an audience-I thought we'd all realised that.

Those are the exceptions not the rules. In almost every case, you need a pretty strong connection.

It's difficult providing examples of something which has very little data for or against it, and is only slight in the first place.

So Mewtwo LFF'd Sora just as hard as Fox + Yoshi did then? I don't buy that. The consistency between rounds would be more proof that there was no overlap between Sora and Nintendo in the first place.

Mewtwo got about 55% of Yoshi's and Fox's total, and Sora increased on Squall by about 0.4%. If we assume consistency and remove Mewtwo, Sora puts up 49% on Squall, and that's assuming he doesn't get more from Mewtwo. Either way I think we both agree that 51% on Sora doesn't reflect to well on Squall.

Those calculations were rough though because I rushed them, for now I must go.

So Mewtwo LFF'd Sora MORE than Fox and Yoshi combined then? That seems even harder to believe since Yoshi is likely stronger than Mewtwo.

And I already said I think pretty highly of Sora's strength, more than most. Squall getting 52%~ on Sora isn't that bad to me.

Squall hitting 52% on Sora seems the range I'd place it. Sora did get 45.5% on MM afterall. Can't go much higher for Squall.

Popular at school, but not as cool as KrahenProphet, Guru Champ!

From what I've seen no they don't greatly side with Square. It's much more balanced than when looking at either NA or Asia. It's not only that, but even non nintendo/square companies do a hell of a lot better.
