What about Zack in that match makes it unwinnable though? I'm curious because as it has been shown before other prominent members of main games (FF8, 10) have shown to hold their own against the possible FF7 SFF, especially in the case of lesser known characters like Zack and Vincent (see Vincent vs. Squall). So Zack vs. Yuna is probably a very real measure of his strength, take a percentage or two. IIRC Squall would be expected to 60 - 40 Yuna wouldn't he? Or something similar to that. People have been talking about Squall and Vincent being able to beat Mega Man forever, so why does Zack have no chance of winning?

Analysis

While the match was never in question after the previous round I’m sure a lot of people are interested in the end result. Is Ken a weakling now or did Resident Evil 5 provide a massive boost for Wesker. I do find it sort of sad that Ganondorf will probably win by more in this match compare to what he got in the previous round. Giving Mewtwo an interesting bracket position could have made the bracket better, especially after seeing all of the other Pokemon perform.

After seeing Jill Valentine and to a lesser extent Chris Redfield’s performances in the first round I am convinced that Wesker has gotten quite the boost from Resident Evil 5 which bodes well for Ken this round. He’s still not going to win, but he at least won’t get tripled like some people were expecting after that match.

Comparing this match to Squall/Akuma Squall was able to get 68% well Ganondorf is slightly weaker than Squall and I would take Ken to be slightly stronger than Akuma which means Ken will probably avoid getting doubled while Ganondorf looks great to take on Sonic in the next round.

I think assuming Yuna/Cid are equal (which isn't an awful assumption, really, I doubt they're far apart anyway) gives Zack 45%~ on Mega Man.

4 way x-stats put Zack at a possibly inflated 47.5% ish I think. And as mentioned by Leon, if Yuna = Cid (I'd just about take Yuna in that match) then Zack is worth about 45% ish.

So whilst I don't think Zack will win but I think he'll at least look respectable. Probably not as high as xstats project him but I'd be surprised if he was much below 45%.

The winner of the Heart battle to face Mario in the QF is still the only one I think is totally up in the air. I think it will be close, but if I were to rank them considering who they have to go up against here is how I would do it. I know I am a board8 casual, so I am curious what all you regulars think-

#5- Bowser- Least likely chance. Honestly don't see him getting past Sora. Pretty confident of this. After this is downhill for me...
#2.3- Personally I picked Kratos hoping he would have a big boost from GOW3 and he was my upset pick for this bracket. I think I will burn on this one- he would have to win 3 underdog battles against Chrizard, L-block, then Sora.
#2.2- Charizard- 2nd strongest Pokemon? Probably... anyway, he has the same uphill battle as Kratos. I was hoping L-Block would be weaker this year with the novelty of him wearing off over time, but now that the contest is underway that feeling has dissipated.
#2.1- L-Block. Once again, I see him gaining momentum as the contest progresses. I really hoped this wouldn't happen...
#1- Sora- He should destroy Laharl, push 60% on Bowser... I think he could win convincingly on Kratos/Charizard, but L-block is still a wonder.

I would rank Bowser as last and Sora first for reasons you've said. As for fourth I would take L-Block like last contest the joke factor is stale and I don't see it getting past the winner of Charizard/Kratos. Third would go to Kratos because of his performance last round, but should he get past Charizard he can only go up with GoW3 coming. Second is Charizard because of his performance on Duke Nukem, also HeartGold/SoulSilver are coming out which will help him.

I'm sure no one wants to go through this again, but I think Missingno has legitimate strength. We should have one of those favorite Pokemon votes and see who wins. He might be a joke, but his strength comes from the fact that almost everyone who played R/B (meaning everyone) used him to help them beat the game and were so happy to use it instead of grinding up levels to be able to fight.
