Getting
a high percentage against Golden Eye could easily just be attributed to
the Mario + RPG together in one sentence. I doubt all of the people
that voted for it played it (although the same could be said for Golden
Eye). --- Curt - PSN - CPhoenixM I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul. |

Mario RPG is Nintendo plus Square. It's probably less obscure than Chrono Trigger. In the games contest, the Square RPGs seem have achieved more or less an equality of day votes: FFVI = CT = FFVII = FFVIII = FFIX = FFX --- 6 years later, Crono's quest to defeat Sephiroth -- Round 1: Missingno 'Till shade is gone, 'till water is gone, into the shadow with teeth bared.... |

Ness
always ruins my bracket (well, except for 2007 when I picked Alucard

he'll probably win. --- "Hold on a minute! That testimony stinks!" "Witness! You can't just say 'Hello' and expect us to get anywhere! I want you to testify!" |

For
the record, Soap would have to beat Geno with 55% or less (or Geno
would have to beat Soap...!) for Ness to win. How do you feel about
this possibility? --- "I can set you free, mate." "My freedom was forfeit long ago!" |
KamikazePotato | Posted 2/15/2010 12:40:25 PM | message detail |
I
might tale Geno to beat Soap, honestly. If I had known about Soap's
awful haircut, I never would have picked him to even come close to Big
Daddy. I had only played CoD4 (where he's a Gordon Freeman who you
control and see the world through his eyes) and figured he would get a
helmet pic or something. --- KrahenProphet lived up to his name. |

I
think I would take Soap > Geno. Its weird, I know I'd take Price
> Geno in a heartbeat, but LOL at McMillian > Geno. I think Soap
is in between those two. I think BD might ride the wave of Bioshock 2 to victory, but my bracket has Ness and I sure hope he can pull it out. Then again, my bracket has Crono > Missingno, so LOLme --- Currently not on the CBVIII Leaderboard V_V Dante > Cloud: ITS HAPPENING |

How
is it not? Its a SNES RPG that hasn't even gotten remakes or anything.
If FFVI has an amazingly bad asv, i see no reason for geno to have any
better since its too old for kids to have played. SMRPG was never originally released in Europe, so its ASV is fairly good since its horrible European vote is extremely diluted. --- "..."---Wander Yesmar |

Man,
Geno has got to be the only character that gets SFF'd in a Nintendo vs.
Square match. It's almost unfair to the integrity of the rivalry. Then
again, Nintendo just picked up a win with a character they didn't even
intend to create, so whatever, right? With this the last Nintendo vs. Square match of round 1, the score stands at 4-4. On the docket for Round 2: Ike vs. Zidane, Bowser vs. Kefka, and Captain Falcon vs. Riku. Oddly enough, all three of these are 4-5 matchups in which the Nintendo representative is the 4-seed. Speaking of 4-seeds, it seems that 4-13 is our version of 5-12. In the NCAA Tournament, the talk is always about the inevitable 12-over-5 upset. Well, all eight of our 5-seeds advanced, but 4-seeds were just 4-4 in round 1. --- CB8 score: 52 Incorrect picks: Ocelot, Wesker, Fawful, Tidus (2 rounds), Phoenix (2 rounds), Simon, Kratos Aurion, Crono, Soap MacTavish |

I've thought about that, but he did better on Bowser than he did on Squall in 2005, though not by much. Hard to say. That,
and without Bowser in the match he got 41% on Akuma who just escaped a

Yeah,
like a Mario character will save the day. As red sox says, the Nintendo
voters are like Republicans; they're very good at falling in line. They
won't support Yoshi over this Pokemon that can conceivably trounce
Sephiroth in the next round, and even if they do, Missingno has the
joke voters and die-hard Pokemon fans to fall back on. He might beat
Yoshi worse than Crono would have. --- Yoblazer: http://i38.tinypic.com/2s024p4.jpg Watch and you'll see... someday I'll be... part of your world! |
