That's a really bad example. Warcraft went from facing a weaker entity to a much, much stronger entity. Missingno is doing the opposite.

I'm not talking about strengths though. The same fanbase/rallies happened during Warcraft/GTA and Warcraft/Mario. The only difference is that the rallies for the Mario match, most people dismissed them and voted for Mario because his franchise is loved everywhere.

I'm hoping for the same thing to happen during the Yoshi match. The places that are being rallied realize that Yoshi is an awesome, lovable character so they vote for it instead.

The primary difference was that Mario was up 80-20. Who knows what would have happened if Warcraft was up against a "universally loved" series of equal strength.

I can see the argument for Yoshi though, and it scares me.

I want Missingno to either easily beat Yoshi or to lose. If he's super clsoe to yoshi, it'll show he's not getting the extra strength needed to beat Seph.

Whew, Big Daddy defeated Soap! I switched from Soap to BD at the last second, so I'm glad it paid off. I'm liking Daddy > Ness, too.

Being universally loved isn't always helpful. L-Block beat Kirby and Snake, and Starcraft might have been able to beat Melee had all the momentum not gone out of them after the cheater was caught. It still came close regardless.

Pikachu and Mewtwo would perform respectably against Yoshi, Charizard would probably beat him, and RBY should beat any game Yoshi's ever been in. Considering Missingno just beat Crono in his debut match, Yoshi beating Missingno feels like a pipe-dream. Missingno even beat Mudkip worse in the vote-ins than Luigi beat Mudkip in 2007 in either of their matches, and I doubt Luigi/Yoshi are very different. Throw in potential rallying for good measure.

I still heavily favor Sephiroth > Missingno, but that's where the real match is at now that Missingno won.

What is debatable about Vivi vs. Altair? I think it's pretty obvious that Altair will win that match.

The next debatable match is probably Zidane vs. Ike, followed by Zack vs. Mega Man, Charizard vs. Kratos (although I think Charizard is going to easily win this), and Ezio vs. Zelda.

Then there's Ryu vs. Dante, Yoshi vs. MissingNo, Luigi vs. WCC, Sonic vs. Ganondorf (easy win for Sonic imo), Kirby vs. Altair (up in the air imo), Sora vs. Bowser, Leon vs. Ryu/Dante (though I would think the latter will be a heavy favorite), Squall vs. Auron (Squall easily takes this), Sephiroth vs. MissingNo (if it beats Yoshi), Sonic vs. Kirby/Altair (easy Sonic win), Sora/Bowser vs. Charizard (up in the air), and Solid Snake vs. Squall (go Squall boost!).

RBY defeating MGS with OOT there was one of the biggest signs of its strength. 55% on MGS, or 36% on OOT is also more than enough to beat either Smash game. If RBY has competition for that #3 spot, it's from LTTP, and increasingly I think RBY has it without too much difficulty.

60-40's still quite a beating and it's not like RBY/LoZ:OoT don't have anything in common; Nintendo's notorious for SFF/overlap and they both came out in arguably the best year for gaming of all time. There aren't going to be many gamers here that haven't played both of them some, especially given how strong they are and GameFAQs's favoritism to Nintendo and RPGs.

After all, remember that SFII was winning against Mario RPG overnight, and Mario RPG managed to get it all the way up to 56%+ by the end of the match. Chrono Trigger was practically tripling Mario RPG overnight, and it nearly brought it down to a doubling.

His jump from the DSV to the ASV in that match was nearly 2%. That's pretty good. I never said it was Mario RPG good, but it's good.

Funny thing about the ASV for that match was that Aerith was basically the only one who dropped there, and nearly 3% at that. Geno basically gained almost entirely at her expense.

How is it not? Its a SNES RPG that hasn't even gotten remakes or anything. If FFVI has an amazingly bad asv, i see no reason for geno to have any better since its too old for kids to have played.
